Taco Boy Reviews
Yummy food ... very inexpensive
I’ve been coming to Taco Boy on Slauson for their taco special that comes with a soda
( it’s my sons favorite) The prices are very reasonable, especially compared to other Mexican restaurants, and the food has always been good. I haven’t tried much of the menu yet, but I also haven’t heard anyone complain about the quality.
One thing to keep in mind is the wait time. Even if you call your order in ahead of time, expect about a 20-minute wait....read full review
Hands down best tacos and rice. The chilaquilas are so good for breakfast. Salsa variety is great with red, green, and pico.

Taco Boy offers authentic, homemade Mexican food at great prices. The chilaquiles and tacos de papa are favorites, and the restaurant is known for its tacos and sopes. The place is busy, especially on weekends, and customers can expect to wait. However, the friendly cashier is kind and understanding. The restaurant does not have waiter service; customers order at the counter. It is clean, cozy, and the food is fresh and delicious, cooked to order with daily made sauces. Generous portions and a variety of options, including burritos and enchiladas, make it a great choice for families. The chilaquiles with meat and Tampiquena are highly recommended, and the green chile dip for the burrito is spectacular. Tucked away in a small shopping strip, it is a hidden gem and very affordable, with almost everything around $6-$12. The Tampiquena is a great value and very tasty. The salsa is the best, and the tacos are amazing, the burritos are fire, & the caldo de rez is a favorite. The ceviche with tostada is highly recommended.
