“Saw this place on Instagram it looked good so decided to give it a try had the chilaquiles red sauce eggs sunny side up and chorizo it was tasty sauce was mild and chips were light and crunchy even with the sauce eggs cooked it has inside seating and a small outdoor area place is busy ya its that good.“

“I’ve been coming to Taco Boy on Slauson for their taco special that comes with a soda
( it’s my sons favorite) The prices are very reasonable, especially compared to other Mexican restaurants, and the food has always been good. I haven’t tried much of the menu yet, but I also haven’t heard anyone complain about the quality.

One thing to keep in mind is the wait time. Even if you call your order in ahead of time, expect about a 20-minute wait. I’d recommend ordering ahead with that in mind if you’re in a hurry.

My only real criticism is the staffing. The young man working the front is expected to do way too much by himself. He’s taking orders, handling payments, answering the phone, and bringing hot food out to customers dining in. That’s a lot for one person, and it’s not fair to him or to the customers waiting.

This isn’t a complaint about the employee—he works hard. It’s a suggestion for management. Hiring one more person to help at the front would make a huge difference. Service would be faster, the phone could actually be answered more consistently, and the employee wouldn’t have to juggle so many responsibilities at once.

Overall, I’d still recommend Taco Boy for the good food, generous portions, and fair prices. I just hope management gives their hardworking front counter employee the support he deserves.“

“Just stopped by today with my little one. I was low on funds but super hungry so I got a crispy birria taco and it was so good! Yesenia gave my baby a sample of the noodles and birria and I thought that was very nice of her. We enjoyed the sample and again, the birria crunchy taco was very good. Customer service from both employees were 10/10. I look forward to going back!“

“Villa's Tacos were amazing! and I'm not saying this just because of the hype of the Super Bowl. I'm saying this because I mean it. The tacos were just amazing to me. Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. I truly enjoyed every minute of my visit here. Thank you Villa's Tacos, we will return.“

“We stopped by while visiting LA, in search of good local tacos and Taco La 26 did not disappoint!!! The tortillas were fresh, the salsa was delicious & the al pastor was my favorite! I love that they have free roasted potato’s and onions, so no matter what you get a filling meal.

You order at the food station then pay at the counter with the square machines. No where to sit but honestly they’ll be gone before you could sit down.

It is a block from skid row, & as tourist we weren’t familiar - but like anywhere else, just pay attention to your surroundings. The location is gated and there’s plenty of parking.

“This a hidden gem in Lakewood!! The meat is so delicious and cooked very well. I had the tacos with carne asada and they were off the chart!!! Two thumbs ups hands down. Best tacos ever!!!!!! “Been meaning to hit this place, but always pass them up. Glad I stopped by, they got some good eats here. Tried the Vamipro with bistec and potato. Nice and crispy hand made tortilla. Potatos were healthy cut pieces and soft. Also had the Guisado sampler and man they are not shy with the servings. I definitely recommend the sampler plate if you are wanting to try the different options of guisados. For this location early is better as they do sell out of items on the early side. They also have restaurant where you can get there goods as well.“

“Big fish tacos with cabbage, tomatoes and white sauce! Ceviche had fish, crab, little bit of octopus and large shrimps although a bit pricey. It’s still good on a summer’s day. The fried round tortillas were a bit oily as it soaked all through the paper bag. Combo had rice and beans as well. Parking can take a wait but it’s well organized with a staff person directing the cars. You can wait at the take out shack as an alternative to eating inside the restaurant. There’s already a line at 5 on a weekend afternoon so go early!“

“Dude, I’m really impressed with this little spot. The food is flavorful, fresh, and not greasy, and the gentlemen working here are kind Sinaloenses who are easy to talk to. Authentic Mexican food without the fluff. The tacos are fairly priced and GOOD, the gringa is insane if that’s your thing.

If you’re looking for something a bit lighter, I highly recommend the bowl. The flavors are spot on, the portions are generous (easily enough for two meals), and it’s hearty without being heavy.

“I first visited this place five years ago, and it was amazing—one of my favorite taco spots in L.A. I’d been wanting to try it again, and recently, while visiting SoCal, I had the chance to stop by. While it’s still pretty good, it doesn’t quite feel like it used to. The tacos are smaller now, as is the trend with most places in L.A. I’m not sure what happened, but I’m guessing one of the main tortilla distributors started making them smaller, promoting it as a selling point so that trucks don’t have to use as much meat and ingredients. What surprised me here, though, is that the tortillas are handmade and yet they started making them smaller. I still enjoy them—they really are the closest thing to a Tijuana-style taco. “I was told about this place from an out of town coworker that has relatives near by. The owner/cook was very hospitable and everything was surprisingly low priced. Tacos were very tasty and well balanced. I would go back definitely. The only thing I didn’t really like was the parking lot cause its entrance is very close to a busy blvd with fast traffic. You have to exit very carefully. I recommend either parking in the back, side street or back in.“
