“My mom and I had been driving all day and pulled into Hoagies about 2 minutes before closing time. We asked CJ and Taylor if it would be possible to still order some food. They said they were happy to do so! Then we told them they we both have celiac disease and asked if they could give us something gluten free. They both went out of their way to read labels for us and even asked if we would like to have corn tortilla strips on our salads instead of croutons (which are not gluten free). “Everyone always talks about Firestone and Old SLO, but CJ's is by far the BEST bbq slo has to offer!! We got the baby back ribs, fried catfish, potato skins, and onion rings. All were a solid 11/10. The ribs melted off the bone and the catfish was seasoned so well. Onion rings were the best ones I've had in a long time. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving BBQ.“

“If you’re looking for some tasty food, I cannot recommend this place enough. The interior is very clean, and the staff are always hustling about to get customers their food quickly.
The portions of food are quite generous and the pricing is extremely reasonable for the amount of food you get. I highly recommend the combo plate with chicken katsu and bbq beef as they are my two favorites, and every time I order I am blown away with the delicious flavor. The sauces here are fresh and extremely tasty, and if you arrive when there is a line, I would say the food is well worth the wait.“

“Poor customer service. Sat down, no one bothered to come to my table to take my order. It wasn't busy either. She was hiding in the back. Only came out when a customer walked in to order at the counter.She chose to help the walk in orders instead. Looked right at her when she did that!!! and still ignored me. I left, will not go back because of it.“

“The food was really Good!!! Had the Combo plate with shrimp and fish with beef teriyaki. I added the salad and fries. Honestly I went back the next day. Service is great and friendly. Time to get food wasn't long because it was freshly made.“

Probably the the BEST chicken sandwich we've had in a LONG time. All the food we got was bomb 💣 😋
Just go, you won't be disappointed. The staff are super friendly and there plenty of seating (outside on picnic tables).
We got a variety of items at ate everything. The prices are fair for what the competition is but I feel the quality it better than most.
