Small sandwich shop where owner makes daily sourdough bread. Just ordered the veggie sandwich. Fast and hit the spot! Updated from previous review on 2025-12-18
Honestly, one of the best places to eat in Pismo. The bread is fantastic. We’ve had the French dip, barbecue, pulled pork, chili, and soup of the day multiple times. It has been amazing each and every time.

Excellent home made bread and sandwiches! We are so happy we made this our lunch pick when in Pismo for the day. Highly recommend! And the staff were lovely and welcoming.
Wow those were some really good sandwiches. My wife had the gobbler and I had the 805 and gosh, it was absolutely delicious! Nice work!

Absolutely Horrible Experience – Rude Owner and Mediocre Sandwiches
I have never been treated so poorly at a business in my life. I came in hoping to grab a quick bite, but instead I left angry, hungry, and completely shocked at the disrespect I was shown. The owner, who clearly thinks customer service is optional, snapped at me the moment I asked a simple question about the menu. He was rude, condescending, and acted like I was an inconvenience just for being there. The sandwiches themselves? Totally average. Nothing special. Definitely not worth the attitude or the price. Bread was dry, meat was bland. Save yourself the trip and your dignity. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. There are plenty of places that know how to treat customers with basic respect—this is not one of them.

I had the pulled pork sandwich which was very good on a delicious homemade bun. I had the clam chowder as my side. It had lots of clams and a tasty flavor. However the potatoes needed to be cooked a little bit longer. They were still crunchy. Overall I had a good lunch in a cute place with an attentive and friendly staff! Try it!

Being a local I’m almost ashamed I hadn’t been here until recently. So far I’ve had the Gobbler on Fire and the 805 Club. Both were exceptional. The bread is delicious and the bacon jam incredible. The clam chowder is one of the best I’ve ever had with generous amounts of clams. Great outdoor patio area set back from street was very relaxing. Next visit will be the Saucy Pig. . Can’t wait.
