I visited on a Monday and had a very nice afternoon tasting. This winery specializes in French Southern Rhone-style wines (Reds: Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache; Whites: Voignier, Marsanne/Rousanne, Clarirette, Grenache Blanc). The wines are well made, and presented in a non-pretentious, friendly environment, without much sales pressure. Fun tasting room with interesting and unique wines. Winding down a long hot day of tasting in Edna Valley, we opted to visit a tasting room near the ocean, I mean why not? Staff was quite friendly and invited us in for a tasting near the end of the day. I can honestly say their wines are quite unique, likely due to soil composition and weather patterns in the area. Can't give this place enough stars. Could be because it was our third stop of the day, but, the Transcendentalist was a recommendation of a wine educator from another winery. This wine did not disappoint and the PickPocket, opened 2 days later, did not disappoint. Highly recommend. will be our first stop on the next wine escapade.
