“Exceptional wine.
I only buy Riesling from here (this is my go-to place for it & when people ask where to get a good bottle this is always my first & only answer/choice).

Staff have always been kind, full of knowledge and speak from expertise & the property is very inviting the moment you pull up. Staff will take great care of you without the feeling of a high-pressure salesperson breathing down your neck.

They also have excellent white wines, too.
It’s been about 10 years since I last visited the vineyard. But can’t imagine much has changed in terms of greatness.“

They accommodated us right when we walked in and sat us outside on their beautiful patio in the shade overlooking the vineyard. Alex was our host and she made our wine tasting fun and helped us choose great wines!“

“The owner of this vineyard and winery is innovative, intelligent, and loves everything agricultural about this land. He is inspiring and I am sure his wines are superb. This is a beautiful place to visit. On the weekends during the summer he has live music. Check them out to host your next wine tasting event.“

“Lovely place to visit if you are in the area.
They have very nice ambience with outdoor sitting on deck, surrounded by flowers. The staff is very curtious and helpful.
We went for wine tasting combined with lunch and picked the place due to multiple food options and it did not disappoint.
Wine flight had great selection from Paso robles area wines and the panini and flatbread were just a perfect pair.“

“We came here for a quick tasting and were shocked at how accommodating and pleasant the experience was! Rob and Chuck both stopped by our table a number of times with wines and to answer our questions. We chose to add the charcuterie board to our tasting and it was so delicious. The tasting room is so elegant and beautifully designed, which made for a very fun time. We were fully satisfied and will be back again soon!“

Totally worth going to for an extraordinary flight of wine tasting or a glass of wine from their by-the-glass menu while enjoying the cozy outdoor patio. The tasting manager Denise is super friendly, knowledgeable about the wines and food pairings, and an absolute delight to talk with. Shout out to Joey and Bethany who, like Denise, welcomed us like we were old friends. Warm, hospitable, gracious, friendly staff all around, and the wines are a delight. “We had an excellent visit with Michael trying 6 different rieslings from different growing regions around CA. Each had its own distinct flavor. Delicious cheeses with bread were served to add to the flavors. We finished off with a pinot noir. It was intimate setting in a hilly canyon area of SLO. Great conversation and laughs abounded.“

“I asked a very prominent Edna Valley grape farmer who the next up-and-coming wine maker in Edna Valley was, and he pointed me to El Lugar and their wine maker Coby Parker-Garcia. I dropped by their tasting room next to Ancient Owl and was absolutely blown away by the quality of their wines - the best tasting I’ve done on the Central Coast perhaps ever. They are very Pinot Noir heavy, which isn’t even one of my favorite varietals, but the artful skill of the winemaker shines through. I didn’t have a single wine I disliked, but their Pinot from Bien Naciedo stood out as an utterly flawless wine. How it doesn’t earn a 98–100 point score from wine critics is beyond me. That said, my personal favorite was their Pinot from Bassi Vineyard near Avila Beach. There was a very interesting cayenne note in there that made the wine really exciting and, lucky for me and my pocketbook, was one of the cheaper wines they sell. I don’t think you can go wrong here. The only error you can make is not coming paying this hidden gem a visit. I see a bright future for Coby and El Lugar.“

“Talley Vineyards has that amazing combo of great wine, beautiful scenery, and an atmosphere that actually makes you slow down. We genuinely enjoyed every wine we tasted, the cheese and hummus plates were perfect for sharing, and we ended up staying longer than we planned because we just didn't want to leave.
It never felt crowded or rushed, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the entire property has this peaceful, tucked-away feeling that's hard to find.
Dog friendly and I think next time I'll bring a blanket so I can sit in the grass right next to him.
If you're debating where to spend an afternoon on the Central Coast, I'd happily recommend making the drive to Talley. I'd go back in a heartbeat.“

“If you’re deciding between wine tasting in Paso Robles or Edna Valley, make sure Biddle Ranch in Edna is on your list. The atmosphere is beautiful, the wine is outstanding, and the overall experience feels relaxed, authentic, and unpretentious.

We visited with a group of 11, and Paige did an incredible job taking care of us. She was patient, knowledgeable, and made each tasting engaging by sharing interesting background and tasting notes for every wine. Her attentiveness and professionalism helped make the experience memorable for everyone in our group.

“Such a fabulous little nook on the top of the hill in San Luis Obispo.
Great selection of different wines and a couple blends. Owner and his daughter are extremely knowledgeable and a fabulous conversation to be had.
I have been here three or four times now and learned something new every time.
Small venue but a wonderful outdoor patio area if you have small children or want to just enjoy quiet with a view of vineyards“

“I recently ordered a gift basket from Peacock Winery for a friend’s wedding, and I have to say, it was absolutely stunning! The basket was beautifully put together and really captured her style—it was the perfect gift for her big day! Peacock has such a cool “locals only” vibe. It’s one of those hidden gems you’d only find if you take the back roads, and it’s definitely worth the trip. The venue is gorgeous, and their wine is top-notch. The staff was super friendly and really made the whole experience enjoyable. If you’re looking for something special, whether it’s a gift or just a great place to relax with some amazing wine, I can’t recommend Peacock Winery enough. You’ll love it 😍“

“Kayden was a terrific host. She was warm and kind and filled with info. The setting was gorgeous and with all the lavender, we felt we were in Provence!
