Last week, we visited and tasted at Piedra Creek, my 4th visit. It's an excellent visit, I brought my best friend Debbie this time, she's a fairly new winery business owner too, in Amador County. The wine was excellent, the tasting experience, and the hospitality of TJ and his grandmother and original owner Margaret. Thank you TJ for a last minute reservation. We had a lovely time time with your mom, Margaret and Chris. This small winery is a hidden gem. We enjoyed learning about the wine making process, the history of your winery and the area. With the small group tasting it felt like we were company, not customers. Our two favorites were the Lagrein and the Pinot Noir Blanc, however we enjoyed all the wines! Outside food is allowed so bring a snack to compliment the tasting. Love, love, love! Hidden gem for sure! My friends and I were greeted by the family dog and each a glass if wine just after parking. We were given a brief introduction to the estate and history (oldest vineyard in the Edna Valley). With only three tables, it was intimate and absolutely lovely. The matriarch of the family, whose home is located there, came out and chatted with us all for a few minutes. She was very sweet and kind.
