The food was terrible - the guac was old but they put fresh tomato on top - child verde looked like Birria / some kind of meat in red sauce with green chilies on top so gross - the bean dip was all Chile rojo - Jalisco and this place even for the worst food ever !

Went here last night keep in mind I’ve been going here since I was a kid and under different ownership I’m not sure why the food was served Luke warm the beans didn’t taste right and the waitress couldn’t remember our order she forgot an item and didn’t offer good service to us however the lady behind us w the two kids kicking our seats received more attention honestly this place was str8 fire during the pandemic but now it’s TRASH I will never be back step your life up and don’t waste your time w this has been establishment the servers and cooks don’t take pride in their work here the tables are disgustingly sticky and more than one customer in the hacking and kids hacking terrible experience we left here feeling ripped off for our experience shame on Mecca owners for allowing this place to take the dive .

We're from the UK on holiday to San Francisco. Decided to explore further afield. Found the new Mecca Cafe. Staff are so friendly. It's worth a visit if you can make it.

This food is nasty. Everybody in Pittsburg/Antioch will always mention this place as if it's such a good food however this is really all Pittsburg has to offer. The food isn't good here. It's something to eat when you don't have a choice

best food!! i love this place. My husband and I love the friendly service and the generous portions of the excellent quality of food. We usually take the food to go but New Mecca is always busy. The setting is comfortable.

I used to come here a lot when I was a kid with the family. My father knew the original owner, and I loved the memories. I've been craving their chilaquiles for a while now. My favorite and nobody does it like them. We had a family day out in Pittsburg, and we had to go here. It's nice to see that it has expanded for more room. We sat at a booth on the original side of the restaurant. Still has that old familiar look and feel to it. They brought out salsa, bean dips, corn, and flour tortilla chips, so good. I ordered the Carne asada fajita chilaquiles (full size). Wife ordered Carnitas super burrito and son ordered hamburger and fries. Ohh man, taste just as I remembered it! By far, my favorite chilaquiles! Can't find any other place that makes it this way. Perfection They haven't changed a thing with the food, and I'm glad they didn't!

I have been coming here since the 1967!!! I have always been happy and full !!! Changes yes but always glad I went! Great history and Guillermo Muniz was a great man and a wonderful businessman. He loved his family, business and Pittsburg . Food is always the best ! Eating it tonight

Had lunch there this week. First time. Delightful food and service! The waitress helped me create a custom super taco. It was delicious! Also had a yummy cheese enchilada. I would have preferred a homemade lemonade, but the bottled Dole brand was fine. My guest said his burrito was great. He had a Dos Eques Bill was $30
If you go here, you have to order the bean dip best bean dip in town!! I always order two large to go, get the homemade salsa is amazing . It's a small place but wonderful food wonderful service every time!

Food was terrible, service was terrible, came with a party of 10 and had to wait 2 hours for nachos that were absolutely horrendous. Cheese was disgusting, it didn't even taste like carne asada. I almost wanted to just leave and not pay because i waited literally 2 hours to get nachos that were horrible. If you're actually giving this place 5 stars, i honestly want to know what it is that you love about this place, because it is not it.
