I haven't been to New Mecca in years. But I have to say, it's the same as the last time I came. I absolutely love the dip and chips while you wait on your food. Authentic Mexican food here!
I have been going to this restaurant since it was a small, hole in the wall, over 30 years, always with a long line. Several years ago they expanded including adding a patio area. I still like sitting in the original area. You are greated with chips, salsa and bean dip. They take your order and 5 minutes later, your food is being served to you. I had the Super Burrito, steak and my daughter had the bean and cheese burrito. Everytingg was delicious. Top notch. You wont find any...
In a word: slipping. Have been coming here for over 10 years. Food is still pretty good. Prices are still reasonable. Service has gotten very bad recently. It looks like an entirely new staff and they just don't seem to care at all. Another thing - which I don't think I have ever encountered before - its restroom capacity is totally inadequate. For some reason the men's room was locked yesterday, leaving only the ladies and handicapped restrooms. That is just not...
