Cascada is a restaurant in downtown Placerville, California. The atmosphere is decent, but some find it confusing as to its identity. The food, while good for the most part, could use more spice. The chili Verde is a personal favorite, and the young staff is friendly and nice. The service is excellent, but the salsa is bland, although they do offer habanero sauce to spice it up. Some dishes like the lamb chop with mint Jello sauce may not be to everyone's taste. Overall, Cascada offers a variety of Mexican and European dishes, including a spicy Chicken Mole with black or red mole options.
