Went to Dickey's barbecue in Placerville on 11/17/24 Sunday. 1 person working there, she told me other worker was sick, had to go home. I felt bad for her as she was doing it all on her own. 2 of us ordered the brisket, 2 sides; beans with bacon, 1 potato casserole, 1 potato salade. All the hot stuff was cold, no bacon to be found in the beans, potato salad tasted old. We took a few bites of everything and couldn't finish it. Over $40 wasted. I noticed 2 male workers did come in to help after We were trying to eat. We left the food in the trays on the table. I did go up and complain and was told Sorry. No..let us make it over, just Sorry! I use to really love Dickeys barbecue, told my friend let's go there. I was so embarrassed, it was truly gross this time and the employee didn't care when I complained.

The french fries was uncooked. The sandwich didn’t have no condiments on it at first and then when I checked the sandwich and asked them where was the condiments said he said oh yeah I forgot to put them on there so he was gonna literally serve me a sandwich with no condiments on there and the fries were super super super oily. Horrible .Experience

The food here is so good. Our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers and 2 kids got the family pack and it was enough to feed all of us. We will definitely be coming back to this place.

I ordered pork ribs . Got six .two were edible though burnt the other four were like beef jerkey Potato salad was good and so was beans
My friends go backpacking In Desolation Wilderness every year and they like to stop at In N Out on the way back in Placerville but In N Out does not agree with me so last year I decided to go to Dickeys here instead and it is so hidden unless you're looking for it you won't know it's there but it is so good. Only thing that would make it better is when they get a deep fryer for fried okra

Awful BBQ! Brisket had the texture and flavor of pot roast. Flavorless and dried out pulled pork. The jalapeno cheddar sausage was the only thing that was half way decent. Green beans taste like they came straight out of a can. Good bbq should not NEED sauce. If you like good bbq, stay away from this place.

My daughter wanted Dickie’s for her birthday meal so I took her for lunch today. We walked in and were immediately greeted at the door. The owner was behind the counter and took our order. She was friendly and helpful. We have been going to Dickie’s for years and have always loved the food but the customer service was absolutely amazing this visit. We will definitely be back soon!
