A great place, yummy food
Good service, great food, awesome drinks. Good experience overall. I had the Pollo la crema, the cucumber-cilantro margarita with jalapeños....amazing. Savory with a little tartness and heat, tajin on the rim.
Vallarta Mexican restaurant in Placerville, CA, serves up comfort classic Mexican food. Great customer service and consistent food flavors.
Simple, understated restaurant giving off 1980s vibes. They can accommodate largish party of diners, but it is recommended to call ahead to verify. The staff is welcoming. The restaurant has a separate bar and dining area. The food is hearty and filling. Safe seasoning and flavors..For dine in, they provide complimentary chips, red salsa, and hot bean dip. They have signature dishes of molcajetes. Impressive sight to behold of a huge molcajete (mortar bowl) filled with chicken, steak, shrimp, and veggies served in hot melted queso or hot creamy Chipotle sauce. Huge serving size. Being lactose intolerant, I have never tried it. But the sight of it always makes me pause and gawk and wonder what it tastes like. My go to's are the shredded beef and chicken crispy tacos. Simple traditional flavors. They have lunch specials offered during the week that run about $12.50. Non lunch specials- one entree combination plates run around $12.50, two entree $16.50, and three $19.50.
Best Mexican food in El Dorado County. Get the crunchy carne asada steak tacos. Awesome homemade spicy AF salsa, too. Like Chevy's on Angel Dust - in a good way!
Great beans dip and salsa. Friendly atmosphere too

Mother's Day, our family enjoyed a delicious celebration at the Placerville location. The mole sauce was perfect. The salsas and bean dip were very good. And the service with Al our waiter was absolutely perfect. Our family has enjoyed Durangos (previous name), and now Vallarta for 30+ years. Different but equally delicious. Next we're heading to Vallarta in Roseville!

Very friendly staff and good food. The black bean dip is killer and the enchilada sauce tasted home made - very tasty.

Went in had dinner had a great time. I was wearing my passed away grandfather hat.Called them to let them know I left it, and they said they threw it away. So I guess if you leave something, they just throw it away. Will never be back, as I will always be remembered every time I drive past of what I lost.
