I'm 57 and went here with my family for a birthday celebration. They've done a good job, trying to find their niche. The waiters wear elf ears and there's fake leaves everywhere to give you the feel that you're in a forest. Everybody gets a colorful light up crown. The reason I'm not giving this better reviews is that I checked the menu ahead of time to see what the options were, but when we arrived, there were three items that were blocked off the menu and another option that wasn't blocked off but our waiter said they were out of. So there were probably only four maybe five entrées available on a Sunday night. Our food was good, but not mind blowing as it didn't have a lot of seasoning and flavor. I had the gold miners pasty that was featured on the Food Network and has 24 karat gold sprinkled on top. I'm sure we could've asked for salt, but it just lacked flavor. The flickering lights above our heads were annoying, but they brought us a table light and that evened out the lighting in the booth. The booths are so old and lumpy that all of our booties were sore and painful after an hour and a half of dining. I can't remember that ever happening before and we go out all the time. The best thing about our evening was our waiter was wonderful and friendly and the pumpkin cheesecake was delicious.
We saw this restaurant on the morning news. They said they were scheduled to close, but were going to be able to stay open. We decided to try it because it sounded cool and the menu looked great! We got there, were seated promptly and the menus were handed to us. All the items we wanted to order were taped over and we were told they were unavailable. No steaks, no lobster. We ordered dinners. 2 ordered seared scallops, one ordered Portobello mushroom and the fourth ordered cheese fondue. We also ordered a lobster bisque soup, a shrimp appetizer and a brie appetizer. The brie came out, then the cheese fondue came out then the brie appetizer came out. Then the Portobello mushroom dinner arrived. No bisque, no shrimp and NO scallops dinners came out. After nearly an hour we caught up with our waiter. He comped us a fondue dinner, which was shared and added some scallops. It was a very tough experience. Took 3 hours. Our reservations was 445 and we got out at 745. Not sure we will be back. It wasn't a great experience for any of us.
The ambiance is incredible. The service, incredible. The music, excellent. We had the 4 tapas for an appetizer, so glad we did, because it was delicious. The dinner choices are a delicious experience. We loved it! Celebrated our 29th anniversary. We will be back. A great gift certificate to give. Our kids gave us one 2 years ago...one of our best gifts ever!
Exellent experience and I will definitely be coming back! The food and atmosphere are incredible! The service was a bit slow but otherwise great time overall. Highly recommend.
I reserved table and there was none available T the time of the reservation although that is what I had scheduled. M handicapped and had to sit at the bar. So
The food is not very good especially for the price. The ambiance was ok. It was very old and worn out and dirty. The server was great. This was a one and done place to visit for me and my family.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at the Enchanted Forest. The staff were very courteous and helpful, the atmosphere was enchanting, and the food was excellent.
Great dining experience, had never tried Fondue 🫕 it was great! Even with live music and sitting at the bar my wife and I could easily talk and enjoy our meal. The music before and during the live performance was very fitting with the environment and not overpowering. Fantastic night. Hope it can stick around so we can go back.
Miles was a great server. Food was delicious. Hope they can stick around or find another location when their lease expires. Would visit again
They are closing so everyone and their mother (including mine) is dining there. Way too busy, long waits, the food suffered. Maybe wait until they relocate.

My wife loves this place, where i feel it a little over the top. But since it make her happy that what counts.
Service slow but friendly. Out of our requested beer. Out of dessert we ordered. Know you're closing but should still have product. Food mediocre. Great ambience. Great server though service quite slow. Loud!
Great place for dinning... Too bad they lost their lease... Glad I was able to go before they close.
Wonderful & enchanting with great service, ambience & great tasting food. So glad we made the drive to Placerville!
My husband and I went for dinner and from the hostess to our server we were greeted and treated excellently and had fun the entire time. The food came quickly and was delicious. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE OR GO AWAY! This is a unique, loved and iconic restaurant.
