This place has the absolute BEST egg flower soup. It actually has more than a little egg and a couple of chives in it. The Happy Family is the bomb! Try the Salt Baked Shrimp, soo crunchy. For appetizer have the Poo Poo platter, the best of everything. I've tried many dishes and have never been disappointed in a meal. I've eaten at every chinese restaurant in Placerville for the 40+ years I've lived here and Grand China IS the BEST!!! Go you will not be disappointed if so I'll have one of my cows give you a kiss. Just joking 🤗

The best Chinese food, great portions ,great prices and amazing staff! I recently ordered takeout and was on an important phone call when I had to pick up my order, hauling my two young kids along... I felt so rude being on the phone, but I was on a time pinch and needed to get the food. With all the chaos, I ended up leaving my wallet at the restaurant. One of the employees went above and beyond and just delivered my wallet to my house. Talk about AMAZING service! Please go to this restaurant and support them, they deserve it! Plus you will also get amazing food!

I have been coming here for about a year now, and every time I come here, the food and service is amazing! The food is great quality, comes out quickly, hot, and delicious! I’m so thankful we have this spot in Placerville. A must try if you’re in the area!

Stopped here randomly today and was lucky to discover the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Recently began eating more tofu and the Sesame Tofu at this restaurant is the best I’ve ever had. Everything was fast and delicious. The owner and staff were friendly and attentive. The portions were generous, delicious, and well planned. If you get a chance go during lunch and enjoy a fantastic lunch special. Chinese new year is coming in February and this would be a great place to celebrate.

We took a party of 18 in for my daughter's birthday she loves their food. Service was good. The cook came and wished my daughter a happy birthday and checked on us a few times. Made it a very pleasant visit. This was the best service I have seen in a long time

I rarely give a negative review, and if I do I am usually open to trying the place again. However in this case outside of the friendly attentive staff, Grand China has no redeeming qualities. The food was simply awful. The foil wrapped chicken was burnt and tasted of vinegar. The fried rice seemed like vaguely warmed up two day left overs. The cashew chicken was smothered in a yellow gelatinous goo.. This really was not only the worst Chinese food I've ever had, but maybe the worst food period. Having grown up eating public school lunches and having served six years in the Marine Corps, that's saying something.

Hands down the best Chinese cuisine in this area! The service is so wonderful- you feel welcomed and just happy to be there. And the food is so tasty and fresh. Ive been in the food industry for a while now and I can always tell who takes the time to make everything fresh and delicious and so worth any penny spent. Also my son and I always love looking at the art displayed all around.
