The food seemed like it had been cooked much much earlier in the day and wasn't quite fresh.

I've been coming here over the past decade! One of the best Buffets. Its Clean, food is Fresh every batch they make runs out so they have cookers behind making some more hot food! A little bit of everything, salad bar, fruit dessert, Mexican, American, Asian. Everyday it is different foods they make to have variety. Its worth paying the $25. Fridays & Saturday, Approx $60, its seafood day so its expensive but still the good worth and quality. Sunday they have brunch about $40 bucks. I'd recommend it and tell you to believe me cuz my tastes buds work and the amount of years and recommendations I've made to others have brought lots here.

This is the worst buffet ever!! There was noting good everything was mediocre at best. I was astonish at how many items were just bad! Most were just way to sweet, no flavor, or it been sitting for a few hours or even days. My standards for buffet are low from the one I used to going to in sac. So I am thinking this has to be 1 or 2 brackets bove them. Nope this is rock bottom.
DONT GO HERE! SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Koto Buffet inside Red Hawk Casino is one of the best casino buffets in the Sacramento area. It opens every day except Tuesday at this time: lunch and dinner. The food is pretty good by buffet standards. The workers are very friendly and attentive. I love their dining room, especially with the window tables. The view is gorgeous. The dining room itself is clean and comfortable. All the food stations are well organized, and the yummy foods are well displayed.

The service was fast and good but the food was cold and it tasted like it was precooked it not that good like it was a few years ago the food was really good it must be under new management the steaks looked precooked the desert where ok
Not coming back or recommend until they change their ways and bring back the same food before or add on more. Waiting is totally enforced with reservations. Ensure to get reservations! Fridays are the lobster, crab and prime rib day and supposed to be their main event for the week. $59 is NOT ok for dinner event. This is before knowing below where a whole aisle of food is missing from their menu. Update: I just realized that their food had gone downhill. There were no dungeon crabs on this visit and not sure how long they had quietly removed many items. I was just reminded of previous patrons who have gone. There are also a lot of other items that were missing: sandwiches, mussels and clams, birria meat for the tacos, short ribs, scallops, salmon... And etc. this is just wrong. If you are going to remove items, then you need to reduce your price. This is just plain wrong and a lie. There is no way a snow crab legs, and lobster are worth the cost that they are charging to get in. I was praising that a casino having a buffet is going in the right direction, but charging more for less product is just plain thievery.
It always surprises me how guests perceive the same dining experience completely differently. I don't mean to digress, but I had an unsettling experience in line for coffee at Redhawk (Verona) a few months ago, where a gentleman in line ahead of me took it upon himself to bash the cost of the items for sale. He began with, "You go to Safeway, you get the same donut for 50 cents. You can get a whole dozen for 3.00. Here they charge 3.00 for one donut." Then he said, "You want an energy drink? You go to Costco, you can get a whole stash of them for 75 cents each. Here they want X amount." He then proceeded to bash Red Hawk for decreasing the incentives it offered as compared to "when it first opened." I mention this only because I sometimes feel like those around me are poor losers. Gambling is a risk. Take it or leave it. If you take it, don't bash a casino for not offering up Costco or Safeway prices. They're a business too. And if it's not the way it was X years ago and that frustrates you - by all means, stay away. But don't take your frustration out on the person in line behind you who is having a good day and is enjoying the experience. Again, I apologize for digressing. I visited the buffet on Father's Day and was impressed on all counts. The crab was amazing and plentiful. Every detail - from delicious bread, to a nice salad bar, to a huge array of desserts - was attended to. There was someone offering up a custom seafood parmesan station. At that station, everything was tailored to the guest's request - from adding or not adding garlic, to white wine or not, to whether one wanted just shrimp or shrimp and scallops. Those avoiding carbs could pass on the pasta. It was absolutely delicious, and the woman heading up the station was hardworking, patient, and invested in each guest's experience. I was honestly blown away. Part of my delight may be that I keep my expectations in check. That is, just as I think it's completely fair for Red Hawk to charge 3.00 for a donut, I also am not expecting a dining experience at a buffet that rivals fine dining at the Four Seasons. I didn't try the prime rib, but the folks at the table sitting across from me did, and they were pleased with it. Please just keep your expectations in check and, if you're deciding whether or not to eat at Redhawk's buffet/Koto, remember that there are always extremes on Yelp, Tripadvisor, or anywhere else. Don't lose sleep over a bad review. Instead, question its source. Cheers -
We drove up from Sacramento yo have Father's Day dinner. The Prime Rib was tough and inedible. We sampled the pastas from the various locations and the Asian food were ok, but definitely not great. I hot the feeling the was more of a cafeteria environment, rather than a $50 per person buffet. I would warn anyone going there, lower your expectations to cafeteria food and you will be less disappointed.
This buffet has a great variety of food, so there is always something for everyone. We have come quite a few times and it doesn't disappoint us with the choices and the quality of the food.

Food looked good. Tried a little of everything but alot of the food was cold. The prime rib was well done, no other option. The cupcakes were dry. The tatoe tots and chicken were luke warm. Not worth the money.
Oh My Goodness~We were starving and although it was like 26 dollars a piece, IT WAS A DELICIOUS MEAL WITH MANY OPTIONS. We would FULLY go there again~! Highly Recommend!!! Very Good Food!
Excellent choices, fresh food and a decent price!! You will not be disappointed. The seating arrangements are also very accommodating. ENJOY!!
The personnel are still friendly and the cost starts at $25 per person for lunch. UNFORTUNATELY only a few items are excellent. Unless you're a competitive eater wait until they have more of the previous chefs back working.
I was in the area for a night so went to Red Hawk to play the slots and have some dinner. I chose the Waterfall Buffet as it had a lot of options to choose from. I was happy with the choices. The price is also reasonable mid week. Service was good.
