I found this Take out restaurant from an article in The Sacramento Bee. Timmy's is not easy to find, but well worth the effort, It is located in a small complex on Main Street in Placerville near the Court House. The menu is very eclectic. I had the spicy prawn sandwich with a side of tater tots. Both were made fresh and served in a timely manner. The sandwich was flavorful and not overly spicy. The staff was informative and helpful. The prices were a bit high but well worth it for the quality.

This small sandwich stand has a very unique selection of sandwiches for carnivores as well as vegans. My husband and I shared a Vada Pav and could barely finish it. It was delicious! Check out their menu to see the detailed descriptions of their sandwiches. We will definitely be back for more. Their tater tots are great as well.

Wow, this tiny hole-in-the-wall spot located off Main Street in a small covered mall-like space has thee most unique and imaginative sandwich menu I've ever run across! All of the sandwiches are the same price, and it’s all take-out, though there are some small tables in the covered mall space. I had a decidedly unconventional take on a banh mi, with lap cheong sausage, pickled daikon, jalapeño sweet chili sauce slaw, and a few other things on a brioche bun. One of my friends had an equally imaginative enchiladas suizas sandwich, with pork, salsa verde, Swiss cheese, grilled tortilla pieces, and a couple of other items on a ciabatta, and my other friend got a chicken satay sandwich – that one featured chicken satay, harissa cucumber slaw, sweet Thai chili sauce, and a few other ingredients on a ciabatta. After ordering you get a buzzer to let you know your sandwich is ready, so you can take a little while to stroll up and down Main Street if you want. It took about 15 minutes - the sandwiches came wrapped in foil and sure enough, they were inside a brown bag! The sandwiches were all plenty big - mine was very tasty and it looked and smelled like the other sandwiches were too, though they were all a bit messy to eat. Next time I’m in Placerville around lunchtime I’ll definitely go back to try some of the other sandwiches on Timmy’s menu!

Are you kidding me! I almost missed this hidden gem. I’m a foodie who likes nothing more than to find a hole in the wall local joint. The Banh Mi sandwich was fantastic. I’m confident I would enjoy every sandwich on the menu. Too bad I live in London, UK.

We stopped here en route from Tahoe to the Bay Area. What a great find. It was hard to Decide on what to have but we chose well -- my husband had a hot links with kung pao sauce -- so good (I had a taste) the peanuts were a special treat. i had the Bloody Mary Chicken sandwich- enough that I'm having half for lunch tomorrow. The flavor combos are unusual but oo so good. Wish Timmy's was in the Marin!
Best sandwiches! Great combinations, unexpected but spot on. I ordered the Vada Pav and it was delicious! If we lived there we’d be regulars. Great for vegetarians

My hamburger was very juicy and delicious. The tacos were very flavorful. The place is really small so it felt like we were in our friend's kitchen and we were over for dinner.

I love them as a sandwich joint so wanted to try them out for dinners. I really enjoyed the burger. Asked for sauce on the side and sauce came on it so BD couldn't have a bite which was fine because I didn't want to share. No chicken wings that night which was a bummer as I really wanted to try it. Pork Chile verde was tender with big chunks. BD said he wished there was more sauce or maybe more sauce taste because if It was saucier it would be sloppy. He enjoyed the chicken mole but I didn't care for it. Wished there was more toppings on the tacos? It was just meat and tortilla. They did give us sour cream and pico on the side. I want the cheese and onion and cilantro and lettuce. But all in all glad we tried it! Wait was a little long as it's made to order and maybe we had a big order before us? While dude (was it Max?) was really polite to us and chick was super helpful too, their interaction was a little weird. It almost seemed like he was a little aggressive with her. Like maybe she was moving too slow? He would tell her in this exasperated way to do something (flip the chicken, get the water et) like he had told her 20 times already but I only heard him ask her once. Then he would turn to us and be super formal. Then turn back to her and rush her to do something else. Then give us our receipt in a quiet and calm manner. So much back and forth I was cool with just waiting outside. I'd come back for the burgers. Would def come back for the sandwich.

Best sandwiches anywhere This place has the most amazing sandwiches Timmy is really welcoming. Only open for 4 hours during lunch but his sandwiches are An amazing assault on your taste buds. You will not find any standard sandwich but totally fantastic blends of ingredients from many cultures. My wife and son shared a gyoza dumpling sandwich and a Murgh sandwich flavored with so many different ingredients. I had a bratwurst with arugula nuts etc. must try. Maybe next time I’ll try the Pierogi sandwich!
