Narrow Gate Vineyards (Biodynamic Winery & Vineyard)

FINALLY!! Wine made without all the junk and pesticides!! This winery is a Gem. The owners, Frank and Teena along with the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. We really enjoy listening to Frank passionately talk about his biodynamic wine. I suggest you put this winery at the top of your list.....you'll be glad you did!!

When we visit Narrow Gate we are always warmly welcomed, and if owners Frank and Teena, are around, they make time to engage with us. Honestly, they make us feel like family!

We attended the 20th Anniversary event at Narrow Gate this past Saturday. It seemed like not only a celebration but a reunion! There were even founding members (or nearly so) of the wine club there.

Teena takes as much care and thought into preparing delicious food as Frank does creating his exceptional wines.

A little more detail about the wines. They are honest, pure, and biodynamic. This type of purity in winemaking is to be honored and celebrated. It is also rare to find. If you are in El Dorado County, make sure you include Narrow Gate on your list of places to visit. You will be blessed.

In 2020 at a Christmas party someone brought a bottle of Narrow Gate wine and it was delicious! A few weeks later my husband and I swung in the Gate and fell in love - the wine, the personnel - Justin, Kate and Cooper. It became our Sunday afternoon date place for a long time! We have had the privilege of getting to know Frank and Teena over the years and so admire what they are doing with their lives! The wine is amazing and it is truly my favorite place to go!

I've been going to Narrowgate for years and the wines are simply spectacular. I really like how clean the wines are. No flavorings, no dyes, no chemicals to generate a mouth feel ... just good wine the way God intended it to be. Frank and Teena are always gracious and generous with their time. It is one of our favorite places to go and we always take our out of town friends there so we can expose them to this incredible gem of a winery.

Pretentious, self-absorbed owners who don't appreciate their employees and like to put on a perfect image although they are far from it. It is a facade. Teena talks poorly about her employees and customers behind closed doors, and then will be nice to their face to "keep" them in the wine club. Business hurting bad and high turnover rate with employees (new servers each time we've gone) - no wonder when the owner loses it and yells at her employees during events, I was witness to this. Do yourself a favor and don't come here! Lots of other wineries to explore in the area.

Bring taylor back i will not be visiting until she comes back. My family and i went and she had been accommodating and an asset to your tasting room. She was one of the best wine servers in all of the wine community.

Very friendly staff, incredible wine, and I truly enjoyed their Charcuterie, Cheese, and Condiment tray! Narrow Gate Vineyards has a great wine and food menu and selection! The location is spectacular...nestled right in the pines, with gorgeous views looking out over the vineyard! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which is a plus! Narrow Gate Vineyards wines are bio-dynamic, so not only are the wines full bodied with incredible characteristics, but the fact they're made from the finest grapes, with no harsh chemicals or additives (like many other wines), makes this a true winner! Most of all, I love the pleasant atmosphere and the friendly, helpful staff. Thanks again Taylor for providing us with Amazing service! We will definitely be back again soon!

I went here with a friend. I'm not a wine person. She wanted to do a wine tasting.The grounds are stunning! The staff was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable.My friend let me sniff the wines, and encouraged me to take a tiny sip. She said "maybe your palate changed."I liked 3 out of the 6 that I tried! I liked them so much that I signed up for a membership. This may not seem like a big deal to you, but I've always *wanted* to like wine, and this is the first wine that I've ever enjoyed! It's a big deal for me.My friend said "welcome to 40."TLDR: I highly recommend!

Indoor and outdoor seating. Wonderful wine selection, all are superb! If you are anywhere near here you should check them out. Dunamis is ALWAYS a winner!

All their wines trigger a regeneration of spirit. With each sip I realized I was part of of the process of life and its pleasurable gifts. So much of the experience goes far beyond words. Just go. Set within a cathedral of ponderosa pines, this narrow gate leads to genuine grace in a glass.

The Melange Rouge is incredible!!!

Narrow gate sets the bar for wine. El Dorado county is a hidden gem for wine and Narrow gate is the best of it. If you like wine in any shape or form you simply must come in for a tasting if you have the opportunity.
