Always excellent wines, great people, and always memorable. Nello is wonderful, we're blessed every time we visit with him.

Last night I had the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had in my life …by the owners son that was working at the bar! Terribly condescending i was so embarrassed. I was practically in tears.I stood patiently waiting for about 20 minutes while he waited on a couple that had been ahead of me, they were choosing different bottles of wine, etc. Never once did he look over at me or say, I’ll be right with you. No acknowledgment whatsoever. I wanted to purchase a Calimojo and head back outside to hang out with my family I’d met there for music, as it was nearing the end of Shirl-Jams performance. She is so much fun!The couple started walking away from the bar/counter and I commented that by the woman’s generous wine pour, you could tell we were not in Napa Valley. Instead of turning to ask if I’d like something, he continued to talk with them. I tapped on the bar and looked at him and said I’d like to order something, and apologized to the previous customers for interrupting and said that I wanted to get a quick drink and head back outside and spend some time with my family. He looked me in the eyes, not friendly in the least, and said, “Don’t you ever do that to me again!” I didn’t know what he was talking about and I asked him. He said, “don’t you ever tap on the counter like that to me.” I was so taken aback. I mentioned that he had not acknowledged me the entire time I was standing there waiting. The next comment out of his mouth was the worst. I thought he was kidding at first. Chris said, “ “oh, did I hurt your feelings? Did I not acknowledge you?”, with the most condescending tone in his voice, and this frightening look on his face that really surprised me. I said, “What did you say to me?” And he repeated it! I told him this is the worst customer service, and I asked to speak to the manager. I was so humiliated as there was another woman that had been waiting. I looked at her, and she herself looked pretty shocked at his behavior. I then asked to speak to the manager and he said, “I am the manager.” I asked him if he was the owner and he said he was the owners son.I told him that I was with my sister and brother-in-law that are wine club members and I just wanted to buy a Calimojo. He then told me we don’t have any. We were busy today. And also commented that he had been working for 24 hours. Wow. There were other snide comments too that I don’t even recall, I was so shocked.Tell me your troubles dude. He’s a jerk. So, after all that time, I didn’t get the drink I’d come to buy and was now very upset. I turned and left and went back out to my family. Ended up going to Highway 50 brewery to get a beverage. They are awesome!I’ve been to this place a few times because it’s next to Highway 50 Brewery where I have frequented for music, etc.since they’ve opened. I live between Napa and Pollock Pines, and my sister and brother-in-law live in Placerville, I was considering becoming a wine club member since they are and have enjoyed it. That will NOT be happening, I Will not recommend this place, and I will never step foot in Nello Olive Winery!I live in Sly Park Hills in Pollock Pines which is not too far, and I will be sharing my experience with my neighbors and friends. There are plenty of other wineries in the area and this place does well, in spite of Chris, because of the location.I can honestly say this was the worst customer experience of my life!!Just terrible.I did want to mention that when I came out to the table and told my family about my experience, my brother-in-law Dominic who knows Chris, told me that Chris had a REALLY bad hangover. Excuse for bad treatment to customers??! NO!!So part of his working the last 24 hours at the weekend event … I guess included drinking on the job? Good one Chris! That’s professional too.

? OMG ?! We had the best wine tasting ? experience I have ever had! We did the private wine & charcuterie board ? tasting at Nello Olivo with Nello!!! He was amazing. He did poetry that brought me to tears ?, shared amazing stories....of course wine ?...and the lemonnello....not to be confused with limoncello is to die for ?!!!What I also love is his giving ❤. We originally met Nello at the Hands4Hope Night at the Vineyard event in 2019 where we become club members and purchased the tickets for this event. He donated his time and wine then and for sure got it back 10 fold today for the amount if wine we bought ??.

Cozy tasting room adjacent to the cellar of this beautiful historic mansion. We experienced 2 flights of wine plus 2 ports and their Limonello. Enjoyed hearing the history of the home's owners and Mr. Nello in particular. They're Family Secret red blend and Petite Sirah port are noteworthy!

Nice place to do tasting for a great price. $10 for a flight of five different wines. We purchased two flights: one featuring white whine and the other was red wine. Nice, cozy space that feels like you’re in Europe. The owner was nice and it was a pleasant visit!

Nice wine flights try both of them!

Had the opportunity to taste some Nello Olivo wines recently, and that experience was topped by meeting the winemaker himself. Bold wines from an approachable, top class winemaker.

Lovely restored grounds and building, amusing characters, and wonderful wines. Visit the wine cellar, tip tow through the house, stock up on wines for the winter.

It was our first time tasting wine and Debbie was amazing at helping us! Sandy helped us out so much, too! We really enjoyed our time with these two ladies!!
