My husband and I went to Placerville for our 10th anniversary partially to enjoy the WONDERFUL FOOD prepared/served expertly by John and his Amazing, Courteous Staff. We highly recommend stopping in and enjoying anything on the menu; especially as John keeps his prices very reasonable for the high quality meals his restaurant serves with a smile 😊.

Lovely hometown feel, with great food and service. I was even given a chocolate treat at the end of the meal!
I can't say enough good things about this place! They are known for their awesome burgers, but their menu is so big, it's difficult to choose. I had a chicken pesto sandwich that was phenomenal. Prices are reasonable, and the staff is extremely friendly. Chef John is friends with anyone who walks in the front door. Love, Love, Love this place!

I stopped into Old Town Grille with my family on our way back home to the Bay Area. The service was excellent. The family that runs the restaurant made us feel like family, asking where we were from and having a genuine conversation. The burgers were excellent and we loved the back patio. We'll definitely be back!

The Patio ambiance was amazing including a pet parrot. People were super super nice either they're Mormons or Jehovah witnesses.
The food was lack lustre at best. Hardly any garlic on the garlic fries and I ordered the hot dog which came on a hamburger bun and they don't have condiments other than ketchup. I don't know I think $15 for a hot dog and curly fries without garlic on them when you're ordering garlic fries and a drink is outrageous.
It's a cute idea.

I had the Beast burger and garlic curly fries. Both were yummy, seemed like small portions.

Our absolute favorite restaurant in town! Everything is made from high quality ingredients and it's always delicious. The owner and staff are welcoming, friendly and very attentive . I highly recommend Old Town Grill to everyone.
Closed when we tried to go. Hours indicated it should've been open, and there was no sign in the door.
Pesto grilled chicken sandwich was wonderful BUT the Thompson blue cheese waffle fries possibly the best side I've had in years. The place is adorable and as eclectic as most of Placerville. Owner and staff were equally wonderful. The complimentary after meal macaroon after our meal put a lovely bow on the whole experience.
