Asian Pearl Cuisine in Placerville is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu is packed with authentic dishes, but I have to highlight a few standouts from my visit: the fried wontons, the duck, and the lettuce wraps.

The fried wontons were crispy, golden perfection with a filling that was seasoned just right—no need for any extra sauces, though their house dipping sauce was a great complement. The duck was absolutely succulent, with a crispy skin that gave way to tender, flavorful meat. It’s clear they put a lot of care into preparing this dish, as it’s easily one of the best I’ve had in the area. Lastly, the lettuce wraps were a refreshing balance to the richness of the duck, with fresh, crisp lettuce and a savory filling that was both light and satisfying.

The service was top-notch, with staff that were attentive without being overbearing, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. If you’re ever in Placerville and craving some high-quality Asian cuisine, Asian Pearl is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning to try more of their menu!

They should be ashamed of the vegetable combo they served us today. A few weeks ago I had it $13 + 4 for chicken and we both thought it was delicious with a great sauce and the fried rice had good flavor. We both ordered it today and it had to be a substitute cook or something because it was incredibly bland, both stir fry and no flavor at all fried rice! Someone forgot any seasonings. Vegetables so dry my wife asked for extra sauce and shouldn't have bothered as what was brought out was so close to thick tasteless dishwater, seemingly a tiny bit of chicken stock and glutinous thickening agent with no discernable seasoning. Regret we didn't just send it back. Leftovers may be improved with a good shot of seseme teriyaki sauce! With the number of aisan customers their standards need much improvement.
Had to ask busboy for silverware/napkins and condiments like soy sauce.

Wheelchair accessibility: Would be no issue for wheelchair user.

The spring rolls were really good. My MIL ordered the fried chicken and said it was terrible!! Couldn’t eat it. Waitress didn’t tell us when she ordered fried chicken all she got was a plate of fried chicken. No rice. No vegetables. Same with other orders. She didn’t ask if we wanted a side to go with the meal. They should have comped the chicken and didn’t.

Hopped in for the newly advertised mango and green tea ice cream. Excellent. Jay was the perfect server!

My wife & I decided to eat here since other restaurants were busy and lines were long. So, the wait time was very short here- that's a plus. The food on the other hand, very much disappointing. The appetizers came out quick and they were actually pretty delicious and warm. The rest of the food came out cold, tasteless, chicken pieces were cut extremely big and the meat you couldn't chew. The server was nice and brought out our food quickly but I couldn't return to this place again. Someone in the review post referred to this place as Panda Express quality. I am sorry but Panda Express is much better than this place.

Our first time here. The center of the restaurant has more surgical lighting (if that's your taste). The side booths are private, quiet, comfortable with more romantic lighting. We prefer the ambient lighting. It was quiet enough to have a conversation. A big plus. Host was helpful in finding our perfect date night table. Service was very good. Xavier did a great job and was attentive and friendly. Took awhile for cocktails to arrive but I don't think that was our servers fault. Food was surprisingly very good. Half Peking Duck was delightful and was pre-cut with Hoisin sauce. green onions and buns. No table side slicing of the duck at Pearl. ($26) We've had Peking Duck in Hong Kong and many other cities in the US and abroad. The duck was flavorful, tender, not dry or overdone. The buns were good. We enjoyed the side dish of Buddha Veggie plate with sauteed yellow squash, snow peas, green beans and mushrooms. ($17) A nice light flavorful dish. Prices weren't bad for an upper scale Asian restaurant. We always look for white table cloths in upscale restaurant, Our side table didn't have that, but it's common with Asian Restaurants plus it's slim pickings for a fine dining restaurant in the western foothills of El Dorado County. We will return. I recommend.

Very disappointing. The place is extremely loud, cranking 80’s music. The food tastes like Panda Express. Fast food! Ours was cold! Probably suits all the Asians from south sac, but did nothing for us! Will not be returning. They can’t even spell restaurant correctly on the Google listing

We were there on our wedding anniversary. Nice food, tasty and good portion, the only thing that i didnt like is the expected time that the waiter suppose to deliver our food but the rest are fine

I ordered the house fried rice. It’s was amazing. Honestly they could’ve put more meat in it but it was good. They gave me a piece of Oreo cheesecake for a free birthday gift. It was so rich and delicious. I was already full and it did not make it to the house.

This restaurant is located on the top floor of the Red Hawk Casino. It consistently has great service and great food. I believe that it is the best Chinese Restaurant in the area. The restaurant entrance is on the far side of the Casino floor from the Casino entrance; so it is not that easy to access for those trying to avoid cigarette smoke, but Pearl is an oasis in an otherwise loud and typically crowded Casino that is worth experiencing for yourself.
