What a fun, tasty meal, a little something for everyone. Very fast service and extremely kind staff. Thanks for bringing an old-world idea to us. Highly recommend.

So impressed and thankful for this incredible spot. I’ve never been able to have a pasty before and they have Gluten Free pasty shells that have been mastered. Absolutely delicious and filling. Thank you guys for creating food and place for folks who can’t have wheat.

It was nice being able to find a hearty vegan option in town, the pies are pasty pies, not like the typical round pie I was assuming, but it’s still a large portion for one & very tasty! There are 3 vegetarian pies that can be made vegan, I opted for the Japanese. I’d like to go back to try the Hippie! There is 1 table inside & a couple bar stools at the window. Lots of free street parking. Updated from previous review on 2024-11-04

This place is such a gem! We got the Japan pie. It was so savory and delicious. The lady who helped me was so nice and inviting. So glad I tried this place.

Very tasty. You could tell they use fresh and high quality ingredients. Especially worth trying if you've never had a savory pie before. Definitely worth a quick stop if you're driving through the area.

All 3 of their vegetarian dishes can be made vegan and gluten free. I ordered The Hippy and it was so so good. The chef was super nice and accommodating. The pie takes about 10 mins to bake. Yum yum !

We have been several times and decided it isn’t worth the cost.

A handpie shop without Cornish pasties is tantamount to criminal behavior. They eventually got an “english” version (quite a while after opening) to add to a list of odd pie selections for their forced “international/multicultural” theme. Essentially just Shepard’s pie, but with mushy meat, too many undercooked veggies and odd, heavy seasoning.

The crust is hit or miss, mostly miss. They precook the innards so they can quickly cook the shell, which makes for a less than ideal pie.

The staff is usually very friendly, but this last time the manager/owner? and staff member were baby talking to each other, which was bad enough, only to then have the staffer hand me my food with a halter top on and her massive patch of armpit hair hanging out… in a food establishment.

I wouldn’t recommend it, unless the experience of cringey “I’m a cultured world-traveler” is your type of thing.

Get a Thai pie with sweet mango sauce! Then, eat it next door at the Enchanted Forest or walk around Placerville. Super friendly staff and excellent pies!

Great pies. I regularly stop here on the way to Tahoe. I haven't had a bad pie. Thai, Irish, Hawaiian, Russian, Japanese -- all unique and delicious.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options that are super tasty - clearly labeled, too. We had the Thai and the Hippy, I recommend both and will order again for sure!
