I'm originally from Los Angeles, with Mexican parents (from Jalisco) and this is the best Mexican food we've had in the region. Always super friendly and great service. They have boom menudo on the weekends.Mi marido es bien delicado pero le encanta la comida de El Carnaval.

This is our favorite " I don't know, where do you want to eat" location. The casual atmosphere (order at counter, they bring it out) and yummy food, large menu (so there is something for everyone), and attention to detail is refreshing. No rush. You can sit as long as you like, and the patio is dog-friendly.

By far and without a doubt, this is the best Taqueria in Placerville, Diamond Springs and Shingle Springs; So if you are in search delicious authentic Mexican cuisine, there’s no other place to go accept El Carnival! This restaurant is always extremely clean and the customer service is second to none. El carnivals one of those restaurants everybody wishes they had nearby.@agentberkee
