I always have the best time at Bacari PDR! The service is always superb. Tonight we had the pleasure of Maria serving us. She was very attentive and we both felt we were taken care of. She definitely holds the vibe Bacari sets. Thank you, Maria!
I love this place. Great atmosphere and the exquisite food. Went there for brunch on a weekend so the service was a bit slower than usual, but it was well worth the wait.
The best dining experience I've had in a while! Bravo Bacari PDR. We made a last minute resy and were seated quickly on the patio. It was a beautiful day and we had superb service from the staff. Everyone was kind and helpful, especially Micai! Very knowledgeable about the menu and had the BEST recommendations. We shared a bunch of tapas:
- our faves: the cauliflower and broccoli! musts, so delicious
- glazed pork belly: always delicious. perfect mix of crunchy, melty, charr, sweet, savory
- sea bass: great! nice texture, love the crispiness, sauce, and perfectly paired sides
- smoked mushroom pizza- good pizza, asked for red pepper flakes to accompany
- watermelon cocktail: refreshing
- love letter: quite possible the best cocktail l've ever had! The perfectly toasted marshmallow taste and texture was insane when paired with the honeyed whiskey, passion fruit cocktail. So freaking good
- the best cake: how do they even get it to melt like that something I have to have every time I visit now
- bread pudding: good in its own right, but pales in comparison to the best cake
We finished our feast with lavender oatmilk lattes that were the most beautiful exclamation point on our dinner before we went to watch the sunset.
100000/10
We went to Bacari PDR not once but twice this weekend. Shout out to G who made our experience extra nice. You have to try the sea bass and the stuffed mushrooms. Delicious!!
I stumbled upon Bacari PDR while exploring Playa del Rey, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots. The Mediterranean-inspired menu is fantastic—my favorite was the roasted lamb with yogurt and couscous. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, and they have a great selection of wines to pair with your meal. The service was top-notch, and the place wasn’t too busy, which made for a peaceful dining experience. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality food near the beach.
We came on the 4th of July and had the best time. Our server, Dani, was so kind and attentive - we ordered everything she recommended and were so happy. Everything was so flavorful! Highlights for us were the shrimp ceviche, street corn, gnocchi and chicken shawarma tacos. We would absolutely come again.
I went for a birthday party and paid $120 per person for 40 people. I was promised unlimited drinks. They watered down the drinks. We asked for 3 pitchers of Bellini, the waiter tried to argue with us. The male waiter with facial hair said that we can’t order 3 pitchers per person. I corrected the waiter and said the 3 pitchers were for the our whole table. He said that he can give us 2 pitchers and we can order more later. I said no, we paid for all you can drink at our party and he still argued with us. The staff also was late on our pre-set menu. Do not come here for a birthday party, you will have to fight with staff for the unlimited alcohol that we paid for.
Delish and cute.
Nice little spot in a great location. Service was great. Friendly and professional. Food options weren't entirely to my preference. But I did appreciate the tapas style.
No matter how many times I visit; which can often be a couple or few times a week. I'm always compelled to leave a review. It's been a while since I've been to PDR, which is the first location I tried and made my flagship. While that has now changed to 3rd or Sherman Oaks, one thing remains true- the vibes and staff are amazing! MACAI! You're one of a kind! Your attention to detail, warmth and overall vibe is not only infectious, but how one hopes their brand is being represented. Until the next time- God bless! With gratitude, Símone

Great restaurant, great vibe! It family family-owned and the menu changes; I appreciate that!!! The servers are kind and personable, especially the general manger she is fantastic.
We tried so many dishes and had a nice cozy corner of the restaurant to ourselves on a beautiful Friday afternoon — absolutely recommend for lunch meetings, much needed catch ups or dig in bestie time. Our meeting turned in to a 3.5 hour event!!! We will be back!
The food and servies was amazing but it's a small place. They need to have less people at once
Our server Maeia was great! She was so helpful and everything she recommended was amazing. The gnocchi and bread pudding were a 10/10.
Amazing food and drinks. The sea bass was particularly delicious. Service by all was excellent. Maria did an amazing job of taking care of us and was so friendly and personable. It's been a long time since we have been here, but plan to come back soon.
