This seems to be a quite popular place! It was packed last weekend when we went to celebrate Father's Day on a Saturday night. The pasta was great, the branzino, not as much. But overall, the food is pretty good and we plan to return. The parking is awful though, so you have to valet. Just keep that in mind.
The pasta n Chilean seabass was fantastic. The veal chop was a bit salty but maybe just my taste. Salad n bread also great - a reliable solid Italian restaurant in the neighborhood 👍
I dine here about once a month and have always loved the food and service. I even brought my picky mother recently and she loved it too.
Always an excellent meal and dining experience! Cafe Pinguini is a delightful place to have food and conversation 💛

Caffe Pinguini exceeded expectations! Great food great service great atmosphere. We visit LA a few times a year and always try at least one new restaurant sooo happy we took a chance on this gem!! The pasta was amazing!!!!
I have been dining at Cafe Pinguini since it opened many years ago. It has never failed to rise to it's level of excellance. The food is always amazing and the sevice is impecable. The atmosphere is comfortable and full of ambiance. I would recommend Pinguini to anyone. It is a little pricey but worth every penny.
I love the people and the food. I fly 1500 miles to enjoy lunch and dinner.

Excellent restaurant! The service was great and I loved my dish, the penne alla vodka. The outdoor area was a perfect vibe being near the water with heaters. I am definitely planning on going back! Thanks for a great experience!

A charming coastal authentic Italian dining experience we love ! The lobster tail grilled was one of the best I've ever had including (comparing to Flemings steak house & Ruth's Chris )

As always, the food is authentic and so delicious. The salad we had tasted very fresh with a lovely light dressing. Our pastas were cooked to perfection. It's always a treat to have dinner at Caffe Pinguini
We returned to Caffe Inquini to celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary. We go there because it reminds us of our actual dining experiences in small cafes and restaurants in Italy. It was a lovely evening. Our waiter turned out to be from a small town in Puglia, near Matera and this added to the Italian vibe. We had a seafood salad that was delicious. For main courses we each had one of the nightly specials. I had the Mediterranean sea bass. It was the best seafood dish I have ever had. The fish was cooked just perfectly with a sauce that was wonderful (topped by capers). My wife had shrimp scampi in spaghetti with a spicy pink sauce. She loved it but the sauce was a little too spicy for me. Our waiter recommended the house sauvignon blanc wine by the glass and it was excellent and reasonably priced. Topped off by tiramisu with a candle to celebrate our anniversary evening. Bravo Caffe Pinguini and grazie for making our anniversary dinner so special.
