I was excited to take my friend here who had never been. The gray-haired, female bartender was so ridiculously rude to him for no reason. For some reason she just decided she didn't like him. so we left. Won't be back. The best bartender was Pete who I guess isn't there anymore. Goodbye, Harbor Room.

Harbor Room gets 5 stars. Third smallest bar in America, cheapest prices on the west side. Whoever the man with the monopoly style moustache is makes one of the best manhattans I've ever had. Best jukebox I've probably seen in my life. Wide selection of rock, soul, you know the classics you either heard in your grandpas 73 Chevelle over the 8track system cutting in and out. Or the music your dad blasted in the garage during the frequent breaks while cutting the lawn. My only complaint is some of the annoying regulars who treat the bar like a library and get a stick up their ass when you start talking. But hey I think they are near their expiration date and I'd be bitter too.

Fantastic service! I really loved meeting the locals that come in at midnight. Loved hearing about the history.

Great dive bar! We love coming here before a dinner at cantalini's. They make a great dirty martini and the bartenders are great. Make sure to bring cash as it's cash only, but drinks are a lot cheaper than many LA bars.

A charming cozy nook to tuck into on a rainy day. A stones throw away from the beach, this curious pub is worth a visit. Jukebox music and comforting decor surround the small bar and exudes a homey sensation. Bonus that bartender Loretta is a doll!

Went in for a drink after dinner and the locals at the bar were not welcoming. An older lady flipped us off and asked her friend when was the last time they executed someone not from LA. Didn't even finish our drinks since we knew we weren't wanted. Bummer cuz I love local dive bars but the patrons did not want us there.

So glad my bestie Julie brought me here. Lots of fun and memories blurred. Haha.

This bar is awesome! We heard that it was the smallest bar in LA and expected to be greeted by regulars who resented our presence. We experienced the complete opposite. The bartender Pete immediately recognized my Midwest accent and engaged myself and my 2 adult children in conversation. The locals at the bar were also very engaging. Many reviews I have read described it as a dive. I completely disagree with that assessment. It is a local bar that is very welcoming to any patron. Keep in mind it is cash only! Looking forward to going back!

Tiny bar, stiff drinks and cash only. Nice bartender. She gave me a muffin.

Very cozy bar, reasonable prices, fantastic cocktails. Fun albeit limited jukebox selection too. Don’t be afraid to get wrapped into the conversations and dramas of the other patrons - that is precisely the charm the Harbor Room offers.
