Ok so the 4 star is for the overall experience for the price you pay. Food quality and taste probably the best in the south bay area and top ten in LA and OC which is huge. So almost a 5 star for the food. Service was good but, they could be more attentive for the price point. The service is fast you almost feel, you are being rushed which takes away from the experience of the delicious food. So around 4 for service. Ambiance was probably the most unexpected for the price point. If I didn't not see the reviews and food pictures I would have NEVER tried this place which is unfortunate because it is truly one of the best sushi places I have been to and I have been to alot. So sub 3 for Ambiance. Over all I loved the place and I will return and bring friends for more. Just wish the place was a-bit more presentable. I have no problem paying for good food. You just get caught of guard because of the ambiance.

Who knew you could get authentic delicious sushi in Playa Del Rey? We got the premium combo allowing us to select two items and premium 5 piece sashimi and were blown away. The freshness of the sushi! And the five piece sashimi was not your average sashimi--each piece was a masterpiece. The freshest salmon, a white fish tataki, I don't even know what the seasonings were--I just knew that each piece was delicious! I could eat there everyday and be happy.

I thought this place was just ok. Due to Covid-19 concerns we ate our lunch outdoors. We tried a variety of sushi rolls and sushi pieces including tuna, yellow tail, and salmon. It was just OK. Average LA sushi at best. The wait staff were all very friendly and made us feel at home. I noticed several "unhoused" people hanging out in the shopping center. I thinking they probably use the outdoor furniture to sleep on when the restaurants in the plaza are closed. Food: 3 stars. Average LA sushi. Maybe a place to get to go from if you live in the area. Ambiance: 2-3 stars depending on if your downwind of the "unhoused people" Service: 5 stars for friendliness Overall 3 stars

All I wanted for my birthday was to eat some good sushi and I'm so happy my partner and I decided on Sushi Beluga! We went at around 3pm on a Friday and were seated immediately though it did get busier by the time we were finishing our meal. Service was wonderful and everyone was very pleasant and welcoming. Again they were getting busier as we were finishing our meal and we were about ready to get the check but they ended up bringing out some ice cream and a candle to blow out for my birthday which was such a sweet surprise. We ordered 2 Truffle Yellowtail hand rolls #808. Assorted Sushi #703. Aburi Salmon/Miso Salmon/Aburi Yellowtail And a bottle of cold sake Everything came out in a timely manner and everything was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed everything we ordered and would order those items again. #703 was maybe our favorite item but we'll definitely be back to try new items too. I don't write reviews often but our visit to Sushi Beluga was so pleasant I had to write something up :)

Always a winner! Best sushi in town!!! We had the salmon lemon roll, aburi salmon, baked scallops, baked crab hand roll and yuzu roll. I recommend all of them.

Sushi Beluga is some of the best sushi in the area. Unlike some places, everything here is fresh. My only issue is that in recent months, the rolls seem to be smaller and the prices are higher. Inflation...I get it. Nonetheless, if I really want some good sushi, I'll keep going.

This place has some of the best tasting sushi I've ever had. The fish was extremely fresh and the presentation was great! The service was perfect. Very attentive and kind people here. It's a small place and fills up quickly, but worth the wait.

incredible. We did the boat #805 for $105 says it’s for three people we ate it just the two of us. My bf will never get sushi with me bc he says he’s “never full” and wow were we satisfied when we left ! The quality is incredible I especially recommend the fatty blue fin tuna nigiri …. A+ spot we will be back

Wow! Best new Westside sushi and sashimi place I've found. Everything on the menu we tried was outstanding. Creative, quality top to bottom, and delicious. Can't wait for more.

Hidden gem that beats Sugarfish and other top sushi spots in LA. Slightly more pricey than the standard sushi spot but it is high quality. I'll be back!

Great sushi, very fresh and they don’t take long to pull together your order. Highly recommend the hand rolls and all the sushi pieces!

I was pleasantly surprised by Chef Shin! Ordered Sashimi and they did not disappoint. I got chef’s choice of sashimi (albacore, toro, red snapper, yellowtail, albacore). They appear to use high grade sushi rice and the light salad dressing was perfect, not too sweet with just the right amt of ginger. Tempura ice cream could’ve been crispier but overall, the meal was great and fairly priced. I’d definitely recommend!
