Fresh sushi at a reasonable price. We were travelling to the LA area from Ontario, Canada and were eager to try sushi in California. This place popped up on our radar and did not disappoint. The sushi is super fresh, great quality, customer service is very attentive and food came promptly. You can tell this place is busy and for good reason!Parking: We were able to get a spot in the parking lot where this place is situated in the mall.

This place is a gem. We are not from LA and I was looking for authentic Japanese restaurant and I found it. It's a small place, but from the sushi chef to the waitresses they deliver a great service, food is really good and fresh. I did get the Japanese experience, I heard them speaking Japanese and I tried practicing my beginner Japanese with the staff and they followed the conversation, and ask us about our trip. Would come back whenever I come back to LA. Thank you to the staff that was there those days, from your friends from Texas! arigatou gozaimasu

Where do I even start. I rarely go on Yelp and give reviews, but after going to this place multiple times, I must share the hard work this restaurant puts out. This is truly a gem in Playa Del Rey. Everything about this place is just amazing. It's a small and intimate spot close to the water and has the softest sushi out there. Every bite the fish melts in your mouth and just shows you how good simple and good ingredients can get. I've tried multiple places looking for good sushi but nothing compares. I will say, it is a bit pricey but 100% worth it. The service may be a little slow at times but you gotta give the staff a break when they are working so hard. They are all so polite and make sure you're table is always clean.

Hidden gem tucked away in a small shopping plaza. The restaurant could easily go unnoticed-- until you try it. Despite its unassuming appearance the food is outstanding. Forget the decor, focus on the food and hospitality. They offer a full range of sushi and sashimi, alongside combo bowls including ones with cooked protein options. Delicious and satisfying!
Still can't believe I just found out about this place. Tucked away in a small strip mall. This place has fair pricing, very good sushi and excellent service. Huge fan of the Salmon Skin Salad and the Chicken Teriyaki. If you are ever in the area, this is a must try.

First thing, the lame reviews about people's kids being a loud fiasco should not have been allowed to stay! If I were the restaurant, I would have kicked them out and the business has every right to keep the ambiance free from nuisances like those lame people with unruly and awful brats AKA kids. The food here is absolutely divine and the service is top notch. The restaurant deserves nothing less than 5 stars and it's ridiculous that weird folks complain and write reviews that don't pertain to the restaurant's quality of food and exceptional service. If I could give this place 100 stars I would. I am definitely beyond grateful I wasn't there to experience bad whiny children and awful customers like them who sound like entitled Karens to begin with. Shows you that they have NO class and think just because they can afford to go out, they are rich and should be treated like they're Gods. Dear restaurant: THANK YOU for standing up those weird customers and nuisance brats! sorry you put up with awful Karens!

Sushi Beluga is now my new go-to sushi spot in the area. I highly recommend the salmon sample if you're a salmon lover. Each sushi had big pieces of fish and they were all so fresh and tender. Great rolls and apps here as well! The servers are super friendly and the restaurant just had a great environment. My one complain is that service gets extremely slow when you are waiting for your check. My friend and I waited 20 minutes to pay, which I thought was a bit ridiculous.
