I just read that the Szechwan Palace Restaurant has closed, permanently, and that breaks my heart. I used to go there for lunch several times a week when I worked at LMU and it had been such totally awesome food, the best Chinese food I've ever had anywhere. I hope you reopen somewhere in the future and, if you do, that I somehow hear about it so I can go there again. Of course, you have to keep your name so I can find you. :)

We love going out. Last night we found this magnificent restaurant which friends recommended to us. We had a lovely evening there with excellent food and a courteous crew and a great cook. We added this place in our phone list and we shall no doubt come back soon. We warmly recommend.

Should have posted this sooner ~ they closed their doors months back, and I hear the building's been leveled. I'll miss you.

This spot is worth a visit. They serve big portions for affordable rates. Always well organized and with great mood. Will come back again.

two days ago was our first time we came to that magnificent restaurant. But It is surely not the last. We passed a splendid evening with the courteous service, with the magnificent cooking and fine drinks and with the honest payment. We will no doubt return there again.

This review is for the food, I don't know what's going on right now during the Stay-At-Home Order. We came for a goodbye lunch so our group was fairly large. They barely have space for us to sit together. It was large enough to accommodate us, and small enough that it didn't feel impersonal. I pre-ordered a Fried Rice with Pork lunch special and not only was it good, the portion was large, AND it was very affordable. There is limited parking in the private lot behind the restaurant... and this lot has a great view of the Ballona Marsh.

I am sad to say that as of Sunday 3/15/20 this wonderful restaurant of 20+ years has permanently closed their doors.

I've been a customer here for years. Honest Chinese food without fusion nonsense. I called today to make sure that they would be open during the Corona crisis: when they eventually answered the phone, he told me they were closed forever. The Corona scare drove business away and he was giving up. RIP.

Garbage food. Terrible on every level. 80s decor isnt even kitschy anymore . I dont even want to know if that's chicken, beef, pork. My god this place is scary

A large selection on the menu with reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and responsive to special requests. A family friendly restaurant. Closed on Saturday.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. We liked the wonderful environment and the meals. The staff members were super welcoming. I am content we finally decided to visit this place.

This is a very authentic Chinese restaurant whose dishes have very tasty flavors and great aroma. We ordered the pig ear, beef pancake, and chicken with chili and pepper. The food tends to lean towards the spicy side though so if you can't handle the spice then try to stick with the non chili dishes.
