Came by to check out this cute little speak easy style bar on the west side. This is a wonderful place to come have a bite and drink. Super cool vibe and amazing eats. The whole staff here is incredible and if you’re in the area I highly suggest coming here.

This is really a bar. The food is an after thought. The cocktails were "off" too - a Manhattan with a big lump of ice in the glass and an orange slice as a garnish. Ugh. The bar is Very noisy too.

Kid-friendliness: No.

Joliet is, without a doubt, the best spot in LA for whatever it is you're looking for. My boyfriend and I are absolutely obsessed with it - there is something for everyone.

By day, it is the cutest spot for coffee, tea, a dirty chai, a pastry, and/or a sandwich. I recommend bringing your laptop or a book and staying a while, striking up a conversation with Alejandro or Olivia at the bar, and trying one or several of their fantastic options. You TRULY cannot go wrong. I had a pistachio croissant that absolutely changed my life. The egg sandwich made my jaw drop.

Come nighttime, Joliet is a sexy speakeasy that boasts outstanding cocktails, great music, date-night ambience, and a whole different menu of mouthwatering options. My boyfriend loves the lobster roll, and I am obsessed with the mezze platter. The espresso martini is elevated and vibrant, and the spicy marg was better than imagined.

Alejandro's attention to detail is incredibly extraordinary - he adds a special touch to everything he does, whether it's shaving an extra layer of cheese on your sandwich, or adding a cute little flower to your cocktail, or just taking the time to get to know you, it's really such a special experience.

More bar than a place to eat. Snack food mostly. Weird cocktails - Manhattan with a big lump of ice in the middle of the glass with an orange slice.

After an interview and a tryout, I was promised a role as bartender with next steps simply awaiting my online onboarding paperwork - to begin after I returned from previously planned travels. With this news, I chilled on my job search - by no means because I did not need a job, but because I believed one was secured.

Instead of taking the time to inform me by phone call, text, or email that they chose to move in a different direction - the owner simply ghosted me and ignored my polite and timed follow ups.

Thankful I did not get hired here as it was an obvious red flag dodge but completely disapprove of this company’s treatment of the working class. Inappropriate, inconsiderate, and unprofessional.

We came here for a start to a birthday evening. Many of these things were purely circumstantial, but nonetheless frustrating attempted to order a drink was informed they were out of ingredients to make it. We ordered a charcuterie board and to entrées. The entrées came out before the charcuterie board and we were told the board was still being prepared. We had completed our entrées. The board still had not arrived. I politely went to the bar to inform them. We would no longer be needing the board and was met with pushback from the staff. They shared several details about management not showing up and the Chef being new. All of this would be completely understandable. If you presented it early on however it came to us as our evening devolved. It seems they should focus on their bar and dial back on the kitchen menu as most of this was created in a makeshift kitchen behind the coffee counter.
