We've enjoyed Rossoblu, so expected good things form Superfina but took us a while to try it. The menu doesn't seem too inventive--fried calamari, little gem Caesar salad -- all the mandatory California-Italian offerings. Still, everything we had was wonderful. The calamari were perfect--so good that we barely tried a fiery red dipping sauce that accompanied it. The farro salad was a bowl of simplicity and uniqueness--the arugula, carrots and radishes were very fresh tasting with a vinaigrette that let us taste the vegetables. I had the lamb pasta while my companion had the clam pasta. We loved our own dish but would have been happy trading as well because they were both fantastic. The lamb was extremely tender, the pasta al dente and carried the flavor through and through. The service was fast and cordial, which should be expected on a early Sunday evening when the place wasn't very busy. While a little too expensive to become a frequent regular at Superfina, it is still worth a return trip or three.

The hostess and servers were professional and warm. The food was delivered in a timely fashion The sparkling wine from Portugal was not very pleasant and the pasta was very salty. Otherwise it was a very nice evening.

Food was quite good. Service was friendly but not terribly professional. Their list of wines by the glass was limited and uninspired. And the wines on the menu were not all available. Certainly a decent spot, but the service needs polish.

The service was pretty terrible. There were not enough waiters for the busy restaurant and though they tried their very best. Yet everything from drinks to salads to main dishes took a very long time. Noise level was very high as well.. We live nearby and have eaten there a few times out of convenience, but have now promised each other not to go again.

The hostess was absolutely flat in her greeting and assistance. The food was mediocre. Calamari was a really small portion which was disguised by being on a bed of greens. Eggplant Parmesan was boring and forgettable. The chocolate olive oil cake was light and flavorful but was served with a large soup spoon (fyi no ice cream etc so no spoon needed)! I asked for a fork and was told there was a fork shortage and she had to find some. I was really looking forward to dining there as I eat in Playa Vista often. I will not return.

The restaurant surpassed my expectations. The focaccia bread and the ricotta filled zucchini. Flowers were a wonderful start. The eggplant Parmesan, and the cod were super delicious. It's a great restaurant to hit before going to the movies.

Superfine Playa is a short walk from our home so we want desperately to love it and support it. We like it... but don't love it. We were seated promptly at our reservation time and our service was very good. The restaurant was busy and the bar was packed. Unfortunately, the food was only "okay" with good textures, but bland flavors. This has been the case each time we've eaten there. With so many other very fine restaurants nearby, we don't feel compelled to return often. In fact, more often we drive to a couple of other favorites.

The manager was fabulous- so attentive and professional! We were celebrating a birthday and he gave us special attention which was very appreciated. The breakfast food was just okay- it is a pretty restaurant.

ORDER THE PORK CHOP!!! I finally had dinner at Superfine with my best friend last night after months of wanting to try this place. We were greeted immediately at the door and seated promptly. The staff was super attentive throughout our whole dinner. Our waitress Mads was friendly and took time to explain the menu/dishes to us. We ordered the pork chop and lamb pasta- both unique and delicious! Pork chop was nicely seasoned on top of sweet apple- exquisite! Pasta was perfectly al dente, the lamb was soft and tender. The campari tomato appetizer was a wonderful take on caprese salad. Cauliflower with chorizo sauce was a bit too Smokey for my liking. Cannoli with pistachio was so good. It had a crispy, thin outer layer filled with a soft creamy center, marmalade and pistachio finishes. Literally the best cannoli I ever had!

I love Superfine Playa! We started with the sourdough focaccia with the spicy white bean dip- so yummy. The little gem salad with chicken was fabulous / the chicken breast was served warm and was a very generous portion. The casarrecce pasta with the lamb ragu was my favorite- prepared perfectly al dente and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend Superfine Playa and look forward to my next visit. Food - 5 stars Service - 5 stars Ambiance- 5 stars

Another great meal at Superfine Playa! Love the seasonal kabocha squash soup. The warm nuts and marinated olives are a delicious and homey appetizer to share. The special coal-roasted beets with a sunflower aioli (a great vegan option that fooled me into thinking it was burrata) were delicious and full of flavor - you won't miss the dairy! Still, we had the rigatoni with burrata (amazing) and the bone-in ribeye (so much flavor in this dish). The Sicilian cannoli were the perfect toppers to this evening. Great for date night or before or after a movie! Lots of seating options from bar to indoors to heated patio or terrace.

Sat at the bar shared a chopped salad and the bolognese and the clams pasta with my girlfriend. Fresh, obviously quality ingredients, and delicious. Cocktails are on point and service was flawless.

We had a great experience! Wonderful service from when we were greeted throughout service. We ordered a number of appetizers to share - highly recommend the beets, meatballs and the calamari. For dinner our table shared the steak and sea bass - it was more than enough for our party of 4. We will definitely be coming back.

Another excellent meal at Superfine. Easy parking, wonderful focaccia, probably the best pork chop we ever tasted and their fabulous cannoli for dessert. Service was friendly and helpful. Thank you, Superfine crew!!

This was our second visit to the restaurant. The food was all very good, the service was thoughtful and attentive, the table and holiday ambience glowing and nice. The only complaint is that you took the rigatoni with chicken liver ragu off the menu. It's my partner's favorite dish, and we chose Superfine for a special holiday meal in large part because we expected to find that ragu. We were regulars at Sotto when she first had the dish and became a fan of it. And were excited to have it again when we first tried Superfine this fall. Anyway, everything we had last night was all really good, but sad to miss out on the chicken liver ragu! Please tell chef Sampson!
