Really, really disappointing. Cupcake weren't decorated as promised, the flavors were wrong and the taste of the icing was as if it was synthetic. We ordered 30 black and white cupcakes: vanilla and chocolate. Vanilla cake with chocolate icing and chocolate cake with vanilla icing. The icing was supposed to be a smooth topping over the cupcake with a pretty little flower in the opposite color. They did NOT ice the top of the cupcake as promised (or as they showed us in their sample book) and instead put a huge, glob-like flower on top that was quite amorphous. Additionally, the black icing that was supposed to be chocolate WASN"T even chocolate. It tasted like vanilla with some sort of synthetic, chemical tasting dye to make it dark. Sadly, this is my 2nd customer order with Batter N' Icing and my 2nd disappointment. After the first they apologized and admitted their error. I wanted to give them a 2nd chance but that was my mistake. Next time I'll go with the tried and true that never disappoints: Nothing Bundt Cakes or Susie Cakes.

If I could give Batter 'N Icing more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Not only have they become my favorite go-to for cupcakes, but I was referred to the company to help with my wedding cake. From the initial inquiry email all the way to the final drop off at the vendor, Nisha went gone above and beyond to ensure that my cake and dessert bar was perfect and she delivered everything in a timely manner. Honestly, it was more than what I could ask for. She was so easy to talk to, both email and in person. She treats all her customers as equals, not like some vendors where the moment you say "wedding" and the vendor charge 3x more. She was very transparent about her pricing and there were no hidden fees which I appreciated. Her ability to turn your vision into reality is something else, and I loved how we were able to bounce ideas off one another. Everyone LOVED the cake and desserts. So much, that I didn't even get to have any of my desserts because everyone else ate them all!! The cake was so moist and the cupcakes were a huge hit with the choice of flavors (I was told that the peach cobbler was a favorite!). Now that the wedding is over, I still come to the Pleasant Hill location to enjoy a cupcake or two because there's no doubt that Nisha and her team do a fantastic job. Their customer service is top notch and I promise you that you will not be disappointed.

She was very transparent about the options we could choose from and made the process so easy and smooth. She delivered the desserts to our wedding in a timely manner and our desserts were perfect!
We moved forward with a variety of cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and cake. Our guests loved them and there weren’t many leftovers at the end of the night!
Our favorites were the hostess looking cupcake, red velvet, and vanilla with chocolate frosting cupcake. We also got to customize our wedding cake by choosing the flavor, filling, frosting, and cake design, which we loved!
I would highly recommend booking this bakery for parties or weddings. Not only are their desserts high quality and delicious, but Nisha and her team are so kind, professional, and easy to work with!

I ordered a cake for my son’s first birthday, and could not have been more pleased with not only the cake itself, but the whole experience at Batter ‘N Icing!!! Since I have a tendency to leave things to the last minute, I was doubtful I could find anyone to make a custom cake on short notice, but I called them on a Saturday afternoon, they went over the details meticulously with me over the phone after I emailed them inspiration photos, and they had it ready to go on Monday at noon. Absolutely delicious and the design was perfect. Only regret I have is not ordering a bigger one, because everyone wanted more it was so good!

I ordered a cake for my birthday, but the cake was not how I wanted July was cut it halfway. I needed to go back a day before my birthday so they could fix it and the baker was not there so I needed to go to a different location which was further and I needed to leave work emergency. I was like okay going back and forth like crazy that’s fine but then the next day the day of my birthday when I cut the cake was super dry inside with a little raspberry in the middle nobody from my guests liked the cake and I needed to throw it away thank you for charging me 140$ for nothing I will never order something from that place even Safeway has better cake I expect high quality for that much money! They never offer to give me a discount or something! Very very disappointed!!! My guests were disappointed too!!!

I ordered a cake and cupcakes for my bridal shower from the Pleasanf Hill location and was really excited to see my cake and cupcakes. I even went in person because it seemed like a complicated order. My order was not ready when they said it would be, the cupcakes were not done how I requested them and the color scheme was way off. I had requested the writing on the cake not on the cardboard that the cake comes on. I was informed by the staff at the pleasant hill location that the owner said that I needed to return immediately to get it fixed and next time I needed to make sure it was done correctly.It's disappointing that businesses can't take responsibility for their mistakes. My brother-in-law graciously offered to pick up the cake and cupcakes because I needed to get ready for my bridal shower. Not only that, the staff at the location were running late. The cake was pretty and it tasted great, but I will be sticking to Alpine because I have never run into this problem with Alpine. My cakes have always been ready when I need to pick them up. And if there is ever a mess up on part of their staff, they take ownership.
