Batter N Icing makes the BEST gluten free cupcakes. Anytime I’m in the area I have to swing by and get one! Cupcakes are sweet, moist, and generously sized. Also, I love their frosting. It is sorta artificial tasting but in a good way! Reminds me of Crumbl Cookie frosting. So delish. Staff is always nice too :)

Nothing special. Got the lemon drop cupcake and no lemon flavor at all. They said it has lemon curd in it, but was a drop of artificial yellow jelly. The buttercream was as bad as a grocery store, definitely not made with good ingredients, sugar wasnt dissolved either. Sorry, but for the price I wanted yummy cupcake .

Batter 'N Icing is the go-to place for delicious cup-cakes in the East Bay! They have a wonderful variety of flavors and are beautifully decorated (fun seasonal themes available). Not only do they look good but they taste even better! The cake is moist and the frosting is flavorful but not too heavy. A special treat served up by a friendly staff in a bright and cheery store.

Preorder mini Halloween cupcakes at $35 per dozen and we ordered 2 dozen. And they have no bags to bag them up so as we were leaving one of the top boxes shifted, and we lost gripping of it and so the cupcakes shifted all over the box asked them if they could fix the decorations. Really, really disappointing. Cupcake weren't decorated as promised, the flavors were wrong and the taste of the icing was as if it was synthetic. We ordered 30 black and white cupcakes: vanilla and chocolate. Vanilla cake with chocolate icing and chocolate cake with vanilla icing. The icing was supposed to be a smooth topping over the cupcake with a pretty little flower in the opposite color. They did NOT ice the top of the cupcake as promised (or as they showed us in their sample book) and instead put a huge, glob-like flower on top that was quite amorphous. Additionally, the black icing that was supposed to be chocolate WASN"T even chocolate. It tasted like vanilla with some sort of synthetic, chemical tasting dye to make it dark. Sadly, this is my 2nd customer order with Batter N' Icing and my 2nd disappointment. After the first they apologized and admitted their error. I wanted to give them a 2nd chance but that was my mistake. Next time I'll go with the tried and true that never disappoints: Nothing Bundt Cakes or Susie Cakes.

She was very transparent about her pricing and there were no hidden fees which I appreciated. Her ability to turn your vision into reality is something else, and I loved how we were able to bounce ideas off one another. Everyone LOVED the cake and desserts. So much, that I didn't even get to have any of my desserts because everyone else ate them all!! The cake was so moist and the cupcakes were a huge hit with the choice of flavors (I was told that the peach cobbler was a favorite!). Now that the wedding is over, I still come to the Pleasant Hill location to enjoy a cupcake or two because there's no doubt that Nisha and her team do a fantastic job. She was very transparent about the options we could choose from and made the process so easy and smooth. She delivered the desserts to our wedding in a timely manner and our desserts were perfect!
We moved forward with a variety of cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and cake. Our guests loved them and there weren’t many leftovers at the end of the night!
Our favorites were the hostess looking cupcake, red velvet, and vanilla with chocolate frosting cupcake. We also got to customize our wedding cake by choosing the flavor, filling, frosting, and cake design, which we loved!

Since I have a tendency to leave things to the last minute, I was doubtful I could find anyone to make a custom cake on short notice, but I called them on a Saturday afternoon, they went over the details meticulously with me over the phone after I emailed them inspiration photos, and they had it ready to go on Monday at noon. Absolutely delicious and the design was perfect. Only regret I have is not ordering a bigger one, because everyone wanted more it was so good!

I needed to go back a day before my birthday so they could fix it and the baker was not there so I needed to go to a different location which was further and I needed to leave work emergency. I was like okay going back and forth like crazy that’s fine but then the next day the day of my birthday when I cut the cake was super dry inside with a little raspberry in the middle nobody from my guests liked the cake and I needed to throw it away thank you for charging me 140$ for nothing I will never order something from that place even Safeway has better cake I expect high quality for that much money! They never offer to give me a discount or something! Very very disappointed!!! My guests were disappointed too!!!
