A cute and pink little bakery in the center of downtown Pleasant Hill. You will not be disappointed when entering Batter n Icing and taking one, or a dozen, delicious cupcakes. I made mini cupcakes with floral patterns and some special cupcakes for my birthday. Delicious and adorable. The raspberry almond is delectable.

The cupcakes look good but they taste only like baking soda, couldn't even eat one bite, really awful and the frosting feels very poor quality ingredients is it even butter? Don't think so, sorry but they need nee recipes

I love, love, love the decoration. I love the detail and time put into the aesthetic of the shop. The frosting and toppings are absolutely stunning. However, the cupcakes tastes like they comes from a box mix, which is fine, but I was expecting it to be someone's actual recipe. Other than that, tasty cupcakes and a nice ambiance.

My daughter and I shared a peanut buttercup cupcake and a blondie bar last Saturday night. All the desserts at this lovely shop appear incredibly impressive, it absolutely gets an A++ for beautiful-looking sugary creations. Unfortunately we didn't love either of the treats we tried. The cupcake was way too sweet for us, and the blondie was dry and, ironically, not sweet enough for us. We'd had our share of both after just one bite each, so unfortunately not a great experience. With so many options for sweets in this area, I doubt we'll return to Batter 'N Icing soon, but I wouldn't rule it out, we probably just ordered the wrong items for us.

So it's now my 8th cupcake here. Over the course of about 2-3months... So yeah, they're that good. I love that they have so many specials every month and that I can check the menu online so that I can plan which day I'm coming to the shop. Most of them were very good to exceptional. The chocolate PB (a classic) was above any Pb cupcake I've ever had. The caramel cheesecake and white chocolate peppermint (specials) were insanely good. My least favorite was the pistachio (special in January), and that was a let down (sorry!) cuz I love love love pistachio. I thought both the cake but especially the frosting were very chemical tasting. Because of my great previous experiences , I didn't let this dissuade me to go back. For the February month, strawberry Nutella and the baklava (so original and well executed) have been the bomb. As I've said before. $4.80 , and that's on the higher end, but they're very fresh (I've sometimes eaten a cupcake 2days after I bought it and it was still delicious) and they do not skimp on the ingredients (hate places that give you a tiny lick of frosting). Service is pleasant. Shop is cute. I now definitely have my punchcard :) I'm looking forward to discovering the Match flavors, and the April flavors, etc.

I have to brag about this awesome bakery in Pleasant Hill!!! I've gotten many cupcakes, custom cake, and special cupcakes as well as their pupcakes and all are AMAZING. Everyone at my work raved about them and my puppy adored his special treats. The customer service is on point always helpful and accommodating. A nice bakery to get you a treat...go check them out!

Had no intentions or plans to buy a cupcake as I was on my way to Jamba Juice, but the cuteness of the shop caught my eye. Welcoming customer service from start to finish. So many cupcake options -- was tough to decide on one. I ordered the red velvet and it was amazing. Far from dry as most cupcakes are, and the icing was just perfect. Highly recommend.

My friend and I decided to stop here for a little treat after our lunch. First, I love the pink box they place your cupcakes in. I got the red velvet and pink vanilla. The cupcakes were full of flavor and moist. My friend also loved her cupcakes. The ladies working the counter were very pleasant and professional. The shop is small and nicely decorated. We will definitely be back. I love supporting small businesses.

I can't say enough about the cake I ordered for my daughter's graduation, everyone, even people in my family who don't eat cake were raving about this one. The cake was that good. Service was exceptional, very friendly and attentive even asked if I needed help to the car. I know where to go for my cakes from now on.

I barely go to Pleasant Hill but I'm so glad I found this place after eating lunch from across the street. They have a variety of cupcakes to choose from and all different and creative flavors. They also do mini version which I found to be pretty cool so you can try an assortment of flavors. I tried the cinnamon sugar coffee cake and OMG it was to die for! It was super moist and the frosting was so good and not overly sweet. The store is pretty small where you walk in and you can see the cupcakes behind the glass front and choose from there. The girl helping us was super friendly and didn't mind that we asked a bunch of questions which is always a plus. Oh how I wish this place was closer to where I lived!
