I'm a proud torta snob and my BF and I have been on the hunt for a good one for ~6/7 years. On a whim we found this pace and love their tortas so much we don't order anything else for fear of missing the torta experience too much. We get the carne asada specifically and it's perfection. The bread is soft but slightly grilled so there's a nice crunch. The meat is ALWAYS cooked well, sliced thin, and flavorful. The veggies are fresh and the pickled jalapeño adds a kick. The bonus is the homemade chips with the salsa - just so good. I've eaten at least 7 of them and the quality and taste is consistent. I think it's the bread, honestly, that takes this next level. I wish I could buy their bread in bulk. Also, we've eaten in the restaurant only twice and the main woman who runs the show is the nicest person with the biggest smile. She is lovely. The whole staff is great and always smiling when I see them, too. Overall just a great place with tasty tortas (and I'm sure great food in general) and kind people.

Came here for dinner and absolutely loved the mole. It was authentic and just the perfect amount of sweetness. All of the food came out hot, tasted great, and the service was good. They did forget to bring my salad but I got such a huge portion of food I didn't miss it. The food here is definitely more expensive than your average Mexican restaurant, but to me you're paying for the quality. The inside of the restaurant was immaculate and relaxing. I will definitely be back!

The food was authentic. The menu wasn't just your standard burritos and tacos they had new stuff. The chef went above and beyond to make sure that we were very very well served. The drinks are a little pricey, but the atmosphere was all family enjoyment.

This is my go-to for carne asada burritos! It always fresh and flavorful. Pair it with their guacamole, which has the consistency of an avocado salsa, and it's golden!

This is real authentic Mexican Food with a slight spin to normal Mexican Plates. What makes this place great that is first and foremost: organic ingredients. The owner/ Chef Oscar is a master in his food creations. The food looks fresh and alive as it should! Hands down this place beats any Mexican Restaurant for miles around. People complain about the prices but good food cost! I highly recommend this place. Delicious and satisfying!

Avoid this place--worst customer service I've ever experienced. They ruined my husband's birthday. They gave my husband my order, never made what he ordered, and brought me the wrong sauce on my order. But the worst part was when they insisted on charging us nearly $60 for a cake cutting fee **when we brought the cake and served it ourselves.** The owner said he was going to call the cops on us. Is that any way to treat customers who have been coming to your restaurant multiple times? I was mortified that I had suggested this restaurant to my friends. I felt terrible that my husband's special day was ruined--I'm never going back to this truly awful restaurant and will tell everyone I know about my experience.

Chicken Tingas are the BEST. 10/10, highly recommend. Great service as well. Good location (near the freeway kinda).

Great folks, delicious food that's a touch avant garde. They usually have a bit of a fresh take on traditional dishes. Sometimes the menu can feel limited, but everything is done very well.

Best Mexican food in Contra Costa, wait times never too long, complementary chips and gold salsa, menu variety is exceptional, and of course the flavor of every dish I've had is immaculate. If I were to recommend any Mexican food in my life, it's from here.

My friend took me for lunch. The menu was simple, the staff was friendly, and the food was amazing. I have an allergy, and the staff took time to assist me in getting what I wanted with alterations. I thought it was strange to get potato chips at a Mexican restaurant, but let me tell you, they were homemade and reminded me of my childhood and the dip yummy! We both had breakfast as the lunch menu hadn't come out yet. I'll definitely be back

This low-key Mexican spot offers reasonable pricing and a great environment. The flavors are exceptional and they also cater to gluten-free options. The Tamarindo margaritas were delicious, and arguably, it's some of the best Mexican food I've had in the Concord, Pleasant Hill, and Walnut Creek area.

Today for the first time, I went with my child and we bought a super roast beef burrito, the lady charged me for cream and avocado, extra and for my 3 year old child I ordered an order of rice with beans and chicken, my dish. Very small child and they charged me about $15 and my super burrito had no cream, no avocado, only rice and beans, the meat, and pico de gallo, I spent almost $35 dollars, I will never go back there in my life, very expensive and I waited like 30 minutes, When she told me 10 minutes, I asked 3 times is my order ready, she called me nothing.....too freaking expensive I'll never go back to these place, ridiculous ?
