This sushi place is too slow. There are 4 people working in a small hall, and you have to go up to the counter and talk to them when ordering and paying. I can't say the food is better than other places. Other places are fresh enough for the price.

I remember not liking this place before because they were nickel and dime-ing us when we requested things to go. However after seeing the signs for to go bags etc. we can see now that they really must have been hurting, but they managed to survive so they're doing something right.
Food portions are outrageous. At $33 for a 3 item bento box, we thought it was a little on the high side, but what came out WAS HUGE. The tempura portions were crazy, crispy, light. The teriyaki (salmon and beef) were good, and the saba was also delicious. Fish was cut a little improperly for me, but it wasn't bad. Bonus for the California roll and the "on the house crab claws (read mostly flour)"
All in all it's changed my opinion on the place. As inflation hits, small businesses like this get hit, so I understand the prices. But food alone should at least get you in the door to try.

The food was delicious! I have had rolls of the same ingredients at other places, but these were better! The service was amazing, everyone was so nice.
Sushi restaurants can sometimes be a little sterile and depressing, but not here. Jo the owner really curates an awesome vibe, and the food is excellently prepared by him behind the sushi counter. He's a kind soul with a generous spirit and we've had great meals here. We love the Hamachi Kama and the rolls and sashimi platter are huge. Definitely the most interesting Sushi spot in the area.
