New Restaurants in Pleasant Hill

“It was a dark and stormy night. Another atmospheric river event and a perfect night for some pho. We checked Yelp and Pho Viet popped up as a new option. Checked out the menu and decided to give this place a try. We walked in around 5:45 on a Sunday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. Just a couple of tables occupied. The owners greeted and seated us promptly and brought menus. We ordered the BBH, #11, short rib pho and I had the special rice plate. The broth for the soups were all very good and not over seasoned. You can always add fish sauce or whatever you want to enhance the flavors. The quality of the ingredients for the pho and rice plates were very good. Ample sized portions which helped justify the prices. Service was outstanding. They have been open for three weeks now and they were eager to please. They were happy answer questions about the menu and checked on us several times during our meal. The short rib pho stole the show. Delicious and fall off the bone rib meat hit the spot on a cold and rainy night. Now we've been to Pho Viet in Citrus Heights and wondered if this was related to that place. We know of another place in San Jose with the same name but the owner confirmed that this was unrelated to the other locations. Definitely recommend this place as it is clean, service is great and food is well prepared. A little on the pricier side but prices everywhere have gone up so...(shrug). Go check 'em out!“

“Really liked both the tea and snacks. Having tried almost 100 bubble tea places in the Bay area this is the first we've found that has both top tier snacks and top tier tea. At least for our preference. Really liked unagi musubi and the brown rice milk with basil seeds especially out of what we have tried so far. Will definitely be back.“
