Literally pulled into this place on a whim and by luck, and it was absolutely worth it. The vibe and service are excellent, and the food is delicious 👌 best tacos I've had in norcal.

We like this place. Awesome birria and quesabirria tacos, killer shrimp/fish tacos, free chips + salsa, friendly service, and a comfy indoor bar setup.

This place was delicious! I ordered the carne asada burrito with everything (my default choice), and it definitely delivered. I especially loved that the burrito was grilled after being rolled — it added the perfect touch. The tacos were also tasty, though a bit pricey for their size. And the dessert? The cherry on top of an already great meal. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the area!

It's a shame I came from afar and the burritos were salty and I ordered them without cream and if they added more, it was like I asked for more cream ??? and two burritos two sodas $48 dollars plus tip ?

Food was okay at best. I paid for a super burrito that came with no sour cream and no guacamole. Asked for no onions(pico de gallo)and received green onions sprinkled all over the top of the queso sauce. Wish they would say exactly what they put on the food on the menu.

I've visited Tacos El Patron twice, and each experience has been fantastic!

During my first visit, I tried the Super Barilla Quesadilla for takeout, and it was absolutely delicious. It was hearty, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying—definitely a must-try if you're looking for something filling.

On my second visit, I decided to dine in, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The complimentary chips and salsa were a delightful start. The salsa was fresh and bursting with flavor, with diced tomatoes and scallions that I couldn’t get enough of—I devoured it all!

For my main meal, I had a shrimp and cheese quesadilla, which came with crema and guacamole on the side. The quesadilla was perfectly cooked, and the shrimp was tender and flavorful. I loved the addition of four different salsas on the table, ranging from mild to a fiery habanero, allowing me to customize the heat level to my liking.

To top it off, I enjoyed a house margarita with a chamoy and Tajín-rimmed glass. It was perfectly balanced, refreshing, and complemented the meal beautifully.

Beyond the amazing food, Tacos El Patron offers excellent service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and the service is impressively fast. On top of that, their prices are very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality and portions.

Tacos El Patron delivers on all fronts—food, service, and pricing—making it a spot I’ll gladly return to. Highly recommended!

This is a hole in the wall/dive kinda place. Nothing fancy to look at and for this out of towner, difficult to find too. But man is the food good. I don't care too much for Mexican food but I loved everything I had here.
I ordered the fish taco (pescado) and the pork belly taco. 2 thumbs up. I wouldn't have minded eating another taco, but 2 were pretty filling.
My cousin had the vampiro (Carne Asada with homemade tostada) and Norteno (carne asada flour taco). They were somewhat similar but she enjoyed her meal too.

I would definitely go there again if I was in the Bay Area.

Service was quick and efficient. The restaurant was quite busy for a Sunday night!

If you want tacos you'll be hard pressed to find better options in the Bay Area. Their Birria tacos are particularly noteworthy. Vegetarian tacos are also excellent.
