Tugboat Fish & Chips

This place has a terrible smell and the benches moved. The food had no seasoning whatsoever. It was very bland and the waiter sounded very passive aggressive. I don't think the food was very fresh either. The food costed 22 dollars for one fish that was very small and the rest was fries. They didn't have any ice and now we have to change because of the smell. Thank you for reading. Review by A (8 years old)

The food is amazing. I live pretty far but when I’m around town I know where to do. The fish is fresh and the portions are great.

The store is owned by a lovely couple. They are very sweet and friendly.

Great food. Friendly owner.
Real fish fillets not frozen processed stuff that you get from the big box shops where most restaurants get their stuff this is genuine real pieces of fish a one piece in fries usually satisfies me but I was a piggy today and had 2 pieces it was so good.

We got there about about 15 minutes till they closed. They still served us huge delicious portions. One fish and chips was more than enough for two people

I’m in town on business and decided to try this place out. Fish has absolutely no seasoning and the tartar sauce is overpowering with onions. It definitely wasn’t worth the price.

My favorite fish and chips spot in Bay Area! The food is always 10 out of 10. Very delicious!
The flaky fish is Alaskan cod, the crust is light and crispy. The fillets are huge. The portions are very generous. I also tried their homemade clam chowder. It’s to die for! Super yummy!
I would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend! Best fish and chips I ever had.

Fries had no seasoning. Fish was not seasoned, just a lot of batter. The actual fish inside was very minimal.

Gramps fries a mean fish.Swung by for lunch. Batter was puffy and crisp, fish wasn't overcooked or fishy, shrimp weren't rubber, and Jonny/staff were cool dudes.Fresh potatoes would be nice, but the chips were serviceable filler.The menu has a few unique non-seafood items in case you have a friend/partner/kid in tow that doesn't do seafood.I'll def be coming back again.
