The food was excellent but I feel like the service is lacking. We never had our water refilled or our soda. The servers did came by now and then to check up but never once refilled our water.
We used to love Wence's! The last couple times the servings were notably smaller (the cookie dessert!) and the quality of the food just didn't meet the price tags. I will always pay a premium for good food, but when the quality is mediocre, we will skip it. I had their chicken picatta dish and the chicken was super dry and tough. I'm sad about it, but we likely won't be back for a long time.
Wence's is a reliable, fun experience. The service was very good and the food quality also good. My only wish is that it was a bit quieter, but it can get loud as it's so popular!
A friend introduced us to Wence's this week. My wife had Fish 'n Chips that were outstanding. My friend had the beet salad which is favorite and I had the Shrimp Louie which was very good. It was a little noisy inside which made it a little more difficult to hear but was tolerable. Meals were priced reasonably and service was good. I would definitely go there again.

Shrimp scampi pasta was excellent. The $1 oysters on Sunday & Monday nights was a surprise. Delicious!
Waiter was impatient and the worst I’ve ever had! I have food restrictions and was asking him how the chef could change the standard dishes to accommodate me. He disappeared for 15 minutes or more in between questions about the menu. So when I finally decided on fish tacos, he was nowhere in sight. Finally took our order after we’d been sitting for more than an hour. Others were happy with their food, my fish was overcooked but good flavor. Our water glasses were completely empty; most of us were having water—it was hot! We didn’t tip and we won’t go back either. Such a waste of time

We asked if it was possible to order something we had seen a review about. Waiter had to check with the chef and he said no. That's fine, but it took almost an hour for us to get our food and the waiter didn't come back to check on us often enough. His attitude was mediocre at best. We ran out of water and the restaurant wasn't even that busy. So, needless to say, we won't be back.
My book club friends and I frequently meet to have lunch at Wences. Our server was personable and professional. We enjoyed our experience and the food was delicious as always. Wences never disappoints...Mary
Great service, reasonable prices, food is always good and they tolerated our four young grand kids!
Wences need no introduction, it's a neighborhood restaurant that neighbors could walk to it.
You won't be disappointed with their food an d service.

Good food. Like fish. Hard to find in CC.
Food was so so and no one liked their bar drinks. Really excellent service, however. Top notch wait staff.
We went to Wence's for the first time on 8/12 and sat outside.
What a hidden treasure! The food, atmosphere and service was outstanding! Carly and the Manager Alejandro were exceptional!
We will be back!

We celebrated my sis in law’s mom’s 75th birthday. Food was excellent first course choices, main course and dessert were all so delicious and beautifully prepared. The wait staff and all the other staff were so attentive and friendly. Every single time we’ve eaten there, the food was consistently delicious. My family eats there often.

Just had lunch here I had the chicken salad with apples and the chicken was really dry. I was disappointed.
