I have been ordering from here ever since they opened in Pleasanton a few years ago. What's astonishing is the way they maintain consistency of taste from day one and how they keep it authentic to Chettinad roots. The staff including Daniel are very friendly and service oriented. This place deserves a 5 star.

Ambience: they are getting the cleaning table to dining area, which smells bad. This totally ruined the dining experience.
Food: except aapam, just aapam nothing is good here. Please dont waste your money. Kothu paratta is just boiled piece of dough mixed with frozen peas and carrots.

Went here for dinner. Wasn’t as crowded for a Friday. Aapam being their signature dish was really bad. It was a bit sticky and not well cooked. Kurma was ok but the taste of the aapam ruined it. Ambience is not good too.

Please don’t waste your money. Please don’t waste your money. I ordered mutton soup and chicken curry. The mutton soup you can clearly tell it’s fulll of msg and the chicken curry like very old meat and new meat mixed together. please don’t waste your precious time here and also the your hard earned money here. Your health will be spoiled. I live in pleasanton and your restaurant has given me bad food multiple times. I can’t tolerate. Better watch out. I wasted my money.

Its an unassuming place. Chilled out servers, meet Daniel there, he's quite an entertainer. The mutton soup is to die for. The beer was nice and cold so the combo was perfect. The fish fry was ok, a tad over deep fried. But it works. We'd come back for sure.

Went back this weekend for dinner and the food at Appakadi was quite average. Nothing stood out in terms of flavor or presentation. However, the service was good. The staff were attentive and polite, which made the dining experience pleasant despite the mediocre food. The egg curry and korma were below average.
I've tried the other aapa Kadai restaurants in the bay area. Love it everywhere. But this place was total disappointment. The food quality was extremely poor—overly spicy with excessive food coloring
Their "bhai veetu chicken biryani" was nowhere close to bhai veetu chicken biryani. For your own benefit, please disable that option. Chicken lollipop was too hard to digest. Aapam and kizhi parotta was okay
The service was subpar as well. I left the restaurant very dissatisfied and ended up with an upset stomach.
