Experience was good. New owners, same wait staff. Not much different than previous owner. It was Christmas Eve, so not routine. Service was good. Not sure, but the menu seemed shorter. Fairly noisy, but no more than before.

Been coming here for a few years, before the change in ownership. Could rely on “adequate” food, rounded out with strong margaritas.

Just came in to try again, as we heard the food had been “updated”. Pleasantly surprised - the food has stepped up, and they have added a few items to the menu, notably the Carne Melt…a fantastic twist on the Philly Cheesesteak. Very fresh and flavorful. I know you won’t expect to see it…or try it…when coming to a traditional Mexican restaurant, but I highly recommend it.

Oh…and the margaritas are fantastic …and strong. Be sure to give a smile to the bartender - Roxanne - she’s the best!

Nice job, Alberto’s!!

Returned after a few years given the new ownership but honestly the food was mediocre at best. Service was excellent but the food , not so much. If you want traditional Mexican food, this is not the place for you!

We sat outside. It was not a busy day. Once our waiter delivered out menus, we had to go inside to find him to take our order. The food was delivered fairly quickly and was good. But then, we had to go inside to find our waiter to pay our bill.

Guacamole was watery with no flavor which is unfortunate. The beans were okay and the rice was not in any sense traditional and lacked flavor so again unfortunate. Drinks were good and everything thing else was just okay.

The food is SO trash. Welcoming and friendly staff and servers. Outstanding experience on the patio or inside of the restaurant. Great bar area as well!! It's a must try.

Edited in August 2025: Still haven’t been back but feel the need to give the business a fair shake. I can’t see an option to delete my previous two-star review so I’m changing this one to five, just so as to not skew the Google rating downward.

Previous 2-star Review: Tostada was yummy but it was mostly nacho dippings (beans, meat, sour cream, and guac) with less than 10 percent of the contents being lettuce. I wanted a tostada as a light, bit more healthy option, but without lettuce I should've just had a burrito.

Rice is not Mexican style. It is Indian style, weird to me since it was a Mexican restaurant.

Drinks were the best part (top shelf margaritas and sangria). It was hard to have a conversation with the people at our table because it was so loud.....but to be fair, we were at a 4-top in the bar area. Food was better than before but not mind blowing. I will go back for the drinks.

The food was phenomenal. The service was excellent. Sara was so sweet and helpful about the new secret menu options. The food came out so fast and the new owners sure know what they're doing. It is literally my favorite Mexican restaurant. I will be here once a week at least

Food was good, drinks were watered down and not even right, when asking server for fresh she said they were right, took drink to bartender ourselves to get fixed and they argued with us, when you drink a specific whiskey you know when they try to use cheap well whiskey and charge you for top self, and that exactly what they did for 3 drinks we ordered...1 of us ask for ice for a water cup had to ask 3 times and it finally came at end of our meal...

Wow, what happen to this place? I was in Alberto's yesterday and will probably be my last visit. I have been coming here for years, but the service and food quality has gone downhill. You can get better Margarita's at Applebee's. Staff seems a bit disconnected from the customers, and the food is just barely passable.

Alberto's has a great location, good ambiance, heavy-but-good food, and just ok service. Hadn't been there in while, but since they are on Opentable now, we gave them another go. Friday night is obviously a busy time, and even busier in the summer. So the fact that they (a) got our order mixed up and brought my wife and daughter fish tacos instead of shrimp tacos, and (b) left us sitting there (after clearing the table) waiting for them to come back for my credit card for like 10mins, might be understandable. Rating would be higher if but for those two things. Still, if you like your mexican food leaning towards Tex-Mex heavy, its a great value/$ where other nearby options are mostly more expensive.
