Had an amazing experience here and a date with my wife. Food was beyond this world and the service was excellent. Food came out within 10 minutes. Going to recommend this place to anyone.

Waited about 20 minutes at the bar with only two other people there. Bartender passed us multiple times and never acknowledged us. No menu's or service so we walked out. On the way out heard other table complaining about the service. Looks like a nice place though.

*Recent review after change of ownership
We had been reading about the change of ownership and how the new owners were stepping up the kitchen game and using fresh ingredients now. Finally made it in to try the new menu and we very much enjoyed the food we had. Taste and presentation were both great.

Food is ok but I have never had anything there I thought was great. Not a bad place to meet friends at the bar and have some drinks but it gets insanely crowded during the summer street fairs.

I would recommend coming here for a casual meet up with friends or family. I will admit that myself and my family (4 total) came in on a Wednesday night. Not exactly the same energy that you would expect on a Friday night for any restaurant. Given that, the atmosphere was overall nice and quaint. There is a separate, smaller dining room that is not pictured. That is where they had everyone stuffed into and were not utilizing the main dining area in the front. There were about 5+ other tables of people and they just had us all stuffed away in there together. I'm sure this was to make things easier on their staff. However, sitting everyone away from the massive bar and TV's up front seems like a missed opportunity to remind guests of the extensive drink menu they could be missing out on and from the outside it makes it seem like the restaurant is completely empty. The staff that we interacted with were friendly and accommodating. We had just wished we had the one other server that seemed to be very attentive to ALL of the other tables he was serving on his own. The young lady that was our server seemed more interested in hanging out in the front dining room talking to other staff or doing side work. We had to ask the other hard working gentleman and other employees to help us. Mind you that we were our server's ONLY table and the other gentleman was serving ALL the other tables on his own. Having to ask him to assist our table was something that we did begrudgingly. We saw our server 3 times total. When we ordered, when our food came, and when we got the check. Expecting 2 children (11y & 12y) and 2 adults to never need a refill on their drinks or anything else is a miss. The food was hitting and missing on the same plate. The refried beans are very good. They have a lot of flavor while not being overly salty. The rice would be the opposite. It looked like it was seasoned but tasted dry and flavorless. The shredded chicken was overall pretty good but best in the flauta. The shredded beef was more like a stewed beef from a Sunday roast complete with flavor profile. It was tasty, just not what you'd expect from a typical shredded beef. The asada itself was packed with flavor and tender. The Pom-A-Rita was a complete tequila experience. STRONG. Luckily I had a designated driver. If not I would have been stuck like chuck on my last buck waiting for the alcohol to metabolize before driving. With so much tequila I can't be sure if there was any pomegranate juice or not. Just the red coloring to insinuate it's presence. I would definitely come back here again but for a different experience. I would gladly recommend getting a group of friends to Uber and meet up for drinks, food and watching a game at the bar or in the front dining room. Possibly a lunch date on the patio.

Experience was good. New owners, same wait staff. Not much different than previous owner. It was Christmas Eve, so not routine. Service was good. Not sure, but the menu seemed shorter. Fairly noisy, but no more than before.

Been coming here for a few years, before the change in ownership. Could rely on “adequate” food, rounded out with strong margaritas.

Just came in to try again, as we heard the food had been “updated”. Pleasantly surprised - the food has stepped up, and they have added a few items to the menu, notably the Carne Melt…a fantastic twist on the Philly Cheesesteak. Very fresh and flavorful. I know you won’t expect to see it…or try it…when coming to a traditional Mexican restaurant, but I highly recommend it.

Oh…and the margaritas are fantastic …and strong. Be sure to give a smile to the bartender - Roxanne - she’s the best!

Nice job, Alberto’s!!

Returned after a few years given the new ownership but honestly the food was mediocre at best. Service was excellent but the food , not so much. If you want traditional Mexican food, this is not the place for you!

We sat outside. It was not a busy day. Once our waiter delivered out menus, we had to go inside to find him to take our order. The food was delivered fairly quickly and was good. But then, we had to go inside to find our waiter to pay our bill.

Guacamole was watery with no flavor which is unfortunate. The beans were okay and the rice was not in any sense traditional and lacked flavor so again unfortunate. Drinks were good and everything thing else was just okay.

The food is SO trash. Welcoming and friendly staff and servers. Outstanding experience on the patio or inside of the restaurant. Great bar area as well!! It's a must try.

Edited in August 2025: Still haven’t been back but feel the need to give the business a fair shake. I can’t see an option to delete my previous two-star review so I’m changing this one to five, just so as to not skew the Google rating downward.

Previous 2-star Review: Tostada was yummy but it was mostly nacho dippings (beans, meat, sour cream, and guac) with less than 10 percent of the contents being lettuce. I wanted a tostada as a light, bit more healthy option, but without lettuce I should've just had a burrito.

Rice is not Mexican style. It is Indian style, weird to me since it was a Mexican restaurant.

Drinks were the best part (top shelf margaritas and sangria). It was hard to have a conversation with the people at our table because it was so loud.....but to be fair, we were at a 4-top in the bar area. Food was better than before but not mind blowing. I will go back for the drinks.
