This was previously a good bento place but it’s going downhill fast. This place offers authentic Taiwanese food which deserves stars. However, recently management has changed and their chefs and cashier are clearly not up to par.
- Food portions decreased
- Food is often overcooked/undercooked
- Cashier is busy talking or playing with the phone, doesn’t announce numbers for waiting customers
I hope they turn things around but so far it’s looking pretty bad.

Lots of burned parts on gpie (fried chicken) menu. This happened on multiple separate orders which shows carelessness.

The waiters and chefs had a terrible attitude and were always sullen. I regretted tipping them.

I've ordered to-go here a few times. I really liked the GPIE meal. The meat rice is SO good. The chicken itself varies in quality but my last order was so fresh and crispy. The sides vary by season and I like some more than others. The tofu I had this time was definitely at the top of the list. The portions are large and I usually make two meals of it.

Amazing tasting food. Each meal has amazing proportion sizes and the fries are soooo yummy. I would recommend the fish and chips if you young.

We really like the food here. It's authentic. If you like Taiwanese street food, this is a very convenient place to order and pickup dinner. We're regulars. (If you never tried Taiwan street food, the restaurant's description sums it up well— delish soul food.)

I was in area on some business heading to pizza but saw this place. Do we opted to try this out instead. The food is like 4.5. The place stark but clean .
The chicken bento was dynamite—2 large cutlets in sweet 5 spice marinade. Then deep fried. The rice had minced pork belly sauce. The veggies were good. Portion was very large. There were leftovers
The pork belly was equally delicious. But since the rice already had it as sauce it was extra. It was succulent and delicious too. Rice portion was large and 6 but pork belly chunks (about 2inch cubes) sane veggies—tomato egg and garlic sautéed choy. Hadn’t tried tea egg too full

Having tried this place 4 times already so I’m ready for a review. The place isn’t big and it can get crowded. Ordering online is easy and saves waiting time, but I found that sometimes their prices at the store are a tad lower. Thus, phone orders may be the best - saves time and money.
The best thing about this place is its GPIE (fried chicken). Even though it’s chicken breast, it’s made thick and juicy. They also give you packets of chili powder so you can sprinkle as much as you like based on your preference (something that I wished Bentolicious would have done). The second best thing is their fried jumbo squid. The grilled jumbo squid isn’t bad either. We have bought these items many times. The crispy tofu was mediocre and forgettable. We only dined in once and we had their bento. If we had to compare their bento boxes to Bentolicious, I must say that Chick & T has better main ingredients like the GPIE or popcorn chicken. However, their side dishes are so-so and you don’t get to choose. Bentolicious has much better side dishes and you can choose 3 sides. I’d say the side dishes are actually the highlights of Bentolicious. Thus, I would buy fried or grilled items at Chick & T and if I craved a balanced bento, I’d head to Bentolicious.
Interesting that this location does not have tea (or milk tea) like the other locations. Not that their milk teas were the best, but at least it was convenient to consume it along with the fried stuff. Perhaps that’s why this location was named “Chick & T” while the others were named “Chick & Tea” Lol

This is a very authentic Taiwanese bento shop.
The grilled fried chicken cutlet bento is a must order ,the chicken is so tender and perfectly cooked.
The grilled squid reminds me of the taste of freshly grilled squid street food in front of Taiwanese theaters.
I especially like the braised meat sauce drizzled on the rice.
Highly recommend this store for who loves Taiwan food.
