This is our go to restaurant. The food and service are superb. Always the best of the best.
We went on a Wednesday night to dine and celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary. We we seated in a requested booth, it was roomy, quiet and offered good privacy. Service was outstanding, we had brought along a special wine and the waiter knew (before I even asked) that it would require a decanter. We both started with salads, very fresh and tasty. I ordered the rabbit (seldom seen on menus around here) and my wife had the duck breast. Both dishes were exceptional. After dinner, the waiter brought out (on the house) a generous slice of chocolate cake (with candle!). Del la Torre's is a hidden gem.....fabulous night.
Food was great. The only issue was being rushed to leave the restaurant. It was New Years eve so I hope that was the reason. But having the maitre d' constantly walking by to check where we were close to finish was annoying. Otherwise, we will be going back.
Great local traditional Italian restaurant. Friendly sevice and large portions

First impressions are important. I walked in and there was a very odd odor, a mix between an old place and a bathroom. The lady at the counter seemed confused as to why I was there (I was dressed in a suit, but still). She was very nice after I stated I wanted a seat for one.
Looking past the odor, the ambiance was nice. The service was pretty good. The complimentary bread (only one basket is complimentary, reasonable) was good, but odd in a way. The bread and butter where both cold, so spreading it was a trick, but I got it!
The main course came out very quick, almost to quick, as if it was mostly ready before I ordered, but it was good. I had the Tortellini dish. It was not the biggest portion I had ever had, but it was sufficient (maybe a little more for the price would be nice, but sufficient).
I had the cannoli for dessert and it was very good. I've eaten at a lot of Italian restaurants over the years and this was one of the best cannolis I've had (top three).
Overall, I think a freshening up is in order and a little less suprise when someone new enters the establishment, but the food is good. Maybe I got an off night.
The local regulars seem to like it, though they were an older clientele.
Give it a try, at least once!

Great place to have a family dinner! Food was delicious, service was excellent, ambience was g friendly and wholesome! We've been coming here for years and it never disappoints!
We are always satisfied with our food, we love the two servers that wait on us and and it is always a good experience.,
De La Torre is family owned and the owner Leigh truly cares about your experience. The food is fantastic and a difficult decision every time. Full page of specials in addition to their regular menu—you cannot go wrong. 2 fresh fish options always in addition to veal, lamb, meat, pork, sausages, pastas, etc. Something for everyone. Delicious desserts too. Every time we take our friends and family we always have the best time. Thank you so much Leigh.
Great choice - loved the ambiance, service and amazing food. Definitely would make the drive to Pleasanton again to have another delicious dinner!

Don't order the eggplant parmesan. I had it there twice, thinking the first time it was just a bad day. It was just as disappointing the second time--firm, and hard to cut through. I took most of it home, thinking I could finish cooking it in the microwave for a minute or so. It was still tough. On the positive side, the bread was excellent and my lunch partners enjoy a salad and ravioli.
Calamari, seabass and eggplant dish all excellent. Service was excellent and very accommodating and attentive to one guest with a walker.
We have been going here for 30 years. Fantastic food. Never disappoints.

Small establishment that seems to have a good following. Service was good, personable, and checked in just enough. I had the risotto special and did not care for it, needed a lot more seasoning. Cannoli dessert was good. If we went back, would need to try something else before making a final decision
Returned to De La Trattoria for date night. I mentioned on the Open Table site that I'm gluten-intolerant. To my delight, when we arrived and were seated, the hostess/front of house manager came to our table to tell me all the things that could be made gluten-free. There were so many options, I couldn't remember them all! We both had the tagliatelle with bolognese--with GF penne as substitute for me. Delicious. Split the green mix salad with beets. Huge portion. Waitstaff was attentive but not annoying. You really feel like you're in good hands for an enjoyable dining experience.
