The Cobb Salad is so fresh and delicious. This is my favorite restaurant in Pleasanton. Every time is so fresh and they get it right every time.

The flag is faded, the walls hold old farm tools and even an old lever action, and the exit sign is crooked. That's how you know it's gonna be good. For breakfast: The biscuits and gravy is done right, with a meaty, slightly spicy country gravy. The hash browns are actually crispy without being dry. The sausages are links, crispy on all sides, not just the bottom, but juicy inside. The eggs are cracked, not liquid, even if you order the scramble. The coffee has a standing offer on the table to add Irish cream liqueur to it, and has non alcoholic Irish cream at the table anyways. It was full end to end, so we had a bit of a delay on getting a coffee, but damn, this place is good. I didn't get to try the lunch yet, but this is a killer breakfast.
Down home breakfast diner. Biscuits & gravy outstanding. Parking easy and plentiful.

What would Pleasanton be without Jim’s? We’ve been going there for probably 15 years. Super consistent, insanely generous serving sizes. Feels very much like an old school diner with servers that know their customers on a first name basis. You can’t ever go wrong here.

This restaurant is by far one of the best old style restaurants in the Bay Area. Great hospitality, service is amazing, the portions/food are perfect; portions are not too big but not too small. It reminds me of an old style breakfast restaurant in the south. Moved here from Texas, I have been looking for a good diner style burger. That is exact what I found here. I loaded it up with cheddar, avocado, bacon and grilled onions. It was a little more than I was used to but it was amazing and well worth it. Debat8on getting another tomorrow. Breakfast looked and smelled good to but this will probably be my go to for diner style burgers.

I just returned from Jim’s and now I need a nap. The portions are large and the hamburgers are wonderful with grilled onions and melted cheese. Unless you are used to major meals, pass on the (excellent) French fries, although it broke my heart to do so.
