Is the owner here completely oblivious, absentee or don't give a f___? I don't know how this place stays in business. I've been here enough to see that the tempermental pouty face bartendars SUCK! IF they're not too busy flirting it's constant chit chat with each other completely ignoring the patrons. Very lazy and very unprofessional....it's been this way over the last several years. What are we still in COVID? What a joke...never again and personally I'm going on a campaign to let everyone and anyone know how bad this place is. It's too bad as a business owner and investor I can see the place has a good ambience but you're only as good as your people. I wonder if the owners/investors are aware. Try Danville or Walnut Creek. Better vibe more enthusiasm for your dollar!

Was told immediately upon entering that they don't even allow service dogs inside anywhere.They only carry light beer for domestic and only carry premium that's not light and their prices are sky high just well shots are $10.00. Not a place to hang out if you're in a budget for sure the karaoke was decent but they use only Karafun which is a lazy and cheap way to run a show. Song selections and versions are very limited and many versions suck. If they matched their karaoke with their high end prices they'd have a decent hard drive with all the good versions and only use Karafun as a supplement for when they don't have a certain song.They also tell you drinks are a certain price but then charge sales taxes on top of the price they gave you as opposed to most bars that include the taxes in the price.Kid-friendliness: No

the owner is rude, bartenders are great and the ambience is really fun though! i had a bad experience with another patron and reported him to the owner, he had harassed my friend and some other women right in front of the bar and the owner pretty much brushed me off and did nothing about it.

FINALLY a spot in downtown Pleasanton that stays open past 10 pm! Thank Goodness. Dancing, chillin, catching up with friends and making new ones is now possible at a later hour. This is often where we all end up after the brew crawls, or birthday dinners. They have nice seating, photo ops, clean restrooms, and tasty beverages. I always have fun, and I want to give this spot 5 stars- but I will say that the service is so hot and cold. I don't mean that there is a wait when they're busy, I mean that there is a wait if you're unlucky enough to get one of the stuck up bartenders. Twice now I've had the same arrogant self absorbed dbag sort of stare past me with no interest in taking my beverage request whatsoever. I don't think that every bartender has to give me a kiss on the cheek and do a cartwheel when we walk in, but that smug attitude is so unnecessary. I know that sometimes drunk people can be a little extra, but you chose this job. They're not all unfriendly, some are awesome, and I'll only tip the ones who are decent from now on. The Middle 8 has a smaller bar for private parties. We were there last night for my friend's birthday. Our bartender was great, and some of the other guys should take notes from him.

Awesome cocktail lounge. Full fun ambiance. I had couple of cocktails. My personal favorite was 'Bourbon Renewal' . Awesome bartenders and service were very good. Best part is they are open till late night.

The ambience his is nice and the theme of the place takes you back in time. The staff are friendly and easy to talk to. The drinks itself are decent. I've had better, but the bar itself is a cool spot to check out with some friends and hang out.

My fiancé and I love Middle Eight! Came here for NYE 2 years ago and it was packed and incredible. The classy vibe & the piano are everything I've been missing in Pleasanton, and honestly the bay area. The drinks are way better than anywhere else. Crafted with care and fresh ingredients. I've ordered over 7 different drinks here and they're amazing. Def my favorite bar. The owner here is very friendly and hospitable, as well as super friendly bartenders Luis and Sevy (?) thank you!!!

Me and my friends went and it's an absolute vibe! Drinks were strong and very interesting mixed shots. I definitely will be back for the classy vibes. Think Lucifer meets James Bond. Love it.
