Fun local place with a small-town feel. The owner is Norwegian, and the menu had some surprising Scandinavian treats: home-smoked fish, home-made aquavit, etc. We had the Thor appetizer platter of smoked salmon, pickled herring, and pork pate (similar to rillettes in texture)--all excellent. Cocktails were tasty and generous, and the wine recommendation was spot-on. Menu is standard bistro comfort food. Service was friendly and helpful. Will return!

We had a wonderful, lovely evening! The owner welcomed us and seated us, he brought us the wine we ordered as well as a taste of another that was delicious! The beef carpaccio appetizer and the lemon chicken entree was sooo delicious and our server was perfectly attentive!

Great waiter. There when we needed, left us alone when we didn't. Food was fabulous. I split a salad and had the beef stroganoff. Beef was tender, the noodles just right, and the sauce rich, deep in flavour, and held it all together. It made my grandma's stroganoff seem blah in comparison. (But I love her still!!!)

Excellent lunch. I had the Cobb salad & my friend had the steak salad. We both agreed that is is a lovely restaurant.

Consistently delicious. Wonderful service. Great iced tea. We had the egg salad sandwich and the eggplant. All so good. Thank you!

A touch of class for downtown Pleasanton. Nonni's brings great live music to the diners and passers by. Don't tell anyone, tho...we like the intimate bistro vibe and personal service from our favorite waiters especially when it's not super crowded like on a lovely summer Sunday evening.!

We had a wonderful lunch celebrating two birthdays. The food was delicious, and the service was wonderful. One of my favorite places in Pleasanton for lunch or dinner.

Enjoyed sitting at Nonni's outdoor patio for a July lunch date. Shady, quiet and comfortable. Salad with grilled salmon was excellent; generous portion of fish that was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Service was perfunctory - we got what we needed, but nothing special. I would go back and hope for another server.

First, I wish to say Nonni's wait staff is first class.
This restaurant is unique in its setting. The restaurant has an inside dining that feels like you are eating outdoors. The front windows fully open. The night we went, Michelle Lambert was performing - her music was terrific. My adult children were excited to see Michelle perform (a local SF Bay performer).
Our group had the halibut (the night's special), steak and frites, and croque madame. The food was delicious. The very friendly owner was welcoming and came by our table to ensure everything was perfect.
Please do give Nonni's Bistro a try. We don't believe you will be disappointed.

Pretty hyped !!
No wow factor, me being a local and having frequented the restaurant with friends and family, have not once being overtly satisfied in overall experience.
Pleasanton downtown has very few options and hence have to live with the hype!
