Unfortunately I was very disappointed of the portion sizes. I ordered a chicken nasi lamak. There were barely 3-5 pieces for $18. The taste was decent.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food at this place. The flavors were delightful, and I would recommend it to others.

Foods were okBut portions were small and price was high.Basically, when you entered this place, You ordered foods at the counter; all the utensils, drinking water and after finish eating even removing dishes were self service.I Will drive to 30 mins more to have better foods and services in the restaurant.

Incredibly cute and cozy spot with amazing food. We come here nearly every weekend - have not found a better Malaysian restaurant in the area. Their laksa is to die for.

Dined in once and preordered dessert once, their servings of food is of great authenticity and flavor. Coconut chicken rice platter is my favorite. I want to point out that they also have a various choices of dessert, which are not too sweet, but more of the ingredients original flavor.

They gave me an extra plate of green papaya for my Thai salad after we told them there's hardly any in my salad, very nice service, will go back for sure.

Hands down the best, authentic Malaysian food here in the Bay Area! They have limited variety of food, however, I enjoy all their dishes and kuihs every time I come here. Highly recommend!

In true Malaysian style we chose to drive 40 mins in search of good food, and Nonya Cafe did not disappoint. The roti canai was good, with that little chewiness the inside and crispiness on the outside. I had the chicken rendang which was perfectly aromatic and reminded me of Madam Quan's recipe in KL, and the sambal belacan, sedap! Buy your kuay first, it sells out fast! We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately this was just not for me. I had really high hopes after seeing all the good reviews and was looking forward to reliving my time in southeast Asia when I saw the authentic menu. However, the food completely missed the mark. The hainanese chicken rice should have just been called sesame oil chicken rice. The beef rendang used low quality tough beef. Even at lower end cuts they can be tender if you stew them long enough. This was just a failure of a proper execution. But the cardinal sin was the laksa. It was just extremely oily and spicy. I found no semblance of delicious coconut milk shrimp paste.I guess the search continues.

DELICIOUS FOOD- and friendly service! I ordered the Nasi Lemak Rendang Chicken and it was perfect. The portions are on the smaller side which was great but if you have a big appetite - order extra.

The food is authentic. Wonderful flavors, just enough spices and a little bit of kick to some of the dishes. ~ Rendang Chicken with noodles had some heat and the chicken was tender~ Hainan Chicken and Rice is just like what you would get in Singapore~ Kaya Toast - tasty and toasted just right~ Roti is my all time favorite - puffy, airy and crispy and the sauce! YumYumService is quick. You order at the counter and they will bring the food to your tableThe lunch hour is busy and the seating area is not very big. This place is very casual. Also note that the current prices are not reflected as current online. The dishes were about an additional $5

I have been coming here to get Malaysian desserts for my mom for a few years now. In the past, the types of desserts would get posted in their FB page on Friday, and you would have to FB message to pre-order. My mom loves these desserts. Tommy, the owner, was always amazing in being super accommodating with my order placing. I sometimes message on Thursday or Friday morning before he post what would be available that Saturday, and he would always take my advance offer even if I need to alter it once he post the selection of the week since my mom has her likes and dislikes. We have also dined in there a few times, and food and service are both top notch. During visits, the restaurant now has more seating (it was limited during COVID), and a lot busier. I don't know of anywhere else in the Bay that has Malaysian desserts. Thank you, Tommy for always being so kind, friendly and accommodating. Can't beat going to a restaurant where the owner greets you by name and remembers your likes and dislikes.
