Love this winery, the staff, the decor, can’t go wrong.
I have always loved going to Ruby Hill winery and a fan of their service except it appears that lately they are biased towards customers who immediately start purchasing bottles right after the last wine is poured for the tasting. Their sales quality has dropped significantly. It’s like car salesman ship. Our server was Susan, who had no time for us. Dropped off the tower on our table and immediately ran off to the extremely loud and boisterous table next to us. That table had atleast 7 people having a great time but so loud that the 3 of us had to pull our chairs to hear each other. However, since this table was probably buying wines we could see Susan happily hanging out wit them and catering to their needs.whenever she stopped at ours her question was are yo ready to buy a bottle. I am sorry, I don’t want to be rushed and wanted to try a splash of the petite Syrah. Which she brought to us begrudgingly. After that she didn’t stop by for a while and another gentleman who had also served us the barrel tasting during a members event , had stopped by to ask if we needed anything. We asked again for a splash of the Intessa and the curve grey, I think. He was totally fine with that give that we were polite and with a member. However, Susan in all her wisdom
Advised him not to serve us the two and CUT US OFF at 2 pours over the tasting as apparently they didn’t want the liability of drunk drivers . We didn’t want to make a scene there as this was preposterous on so many levels. First she kept giving bottle after bottle to the other table were people were totally drunk and were now drinking o straight out of the bottles and at one point one of them even know Dover a bottle. But Susan was all to please to sever them as they were buying bottles from her. it would have completely ok if she said look you need to buy a bottle after 2 extra porings but to go and insinuate that we need to be cut off when we were completely sober and nothing about us suggested we were drunk is completely wrong. my friend who is a member and the other two of us who wanted to become members were so put off by this insinuation and bias, our evening was ruined by that one statement. We all have so many membership across the Livermore valley and even within Ruby hill. But we have never experience this kind of blatant discrimination. Next time we will be sure to make an official complaint about this at the winery and not keep quiet about it. Not to mention we will spread the word out about the deteriorating service at Ruby over the years. It’s embarrassing that my friend is a current member and that my own brother was married at Casa Real only a few years ago..not returning anytime soon until we hear the service is better.
Very nice place with excellent service and tasting
I came here to celebrate my good friend’s birthday with a few friends. We were seated outside, no tables filled next to us, and at one point our waitress Lori, asks us to keep it down due to a complaint from another table. It was upsetting because A) we weren’t loud and B) we were a table of black and brown Women who were having an amazing time until Lori came to mess it all up. You can pick up vibes very quickly and it was clear those complaints did not come from other customers. Looking around, everyone was having just a good time as we were. It was blatant racism and discrimination. Unfortunately Ruby winery just lost 3 potential club members because that treatment left a disgusting taste in all our mouths.
Nothing short of Fabulous!
Busy day on Father's Day, yet we were still made to feel special.
Wine is delicious!
Ambiance is perfect!
Family Time: Precious
I'm a loyal member who is here all the time and is normally happy but today not too happy. I was told to go have a seat which I did and waited 25 min for my welcome sparkling then another 20 min b4 I got my flight. Other ppl came after me and got served not happy & feel like canceling but I will give it another go, especially since everyone looked new except sandy & another young girl
Do not get your membership here!
Mediocre wines getting charged a bomb quarterly. Please go to their sister winery - Rubino to get your membership. All workers at Ruby hill winery only try to sell their wines and super arrogant. Please don't come here - ever!!
Very nice high class place.
Ruby Hill is the best winery in the Tri Valley and Pleasanton! Truly a hidden gem. It is a beautiful winery, welcoming, warm and the staff treat you like family. The champagne and the red wines are among the best and snacks to pair with the wine. The staff have always been kind, open, welcoming, particularly the owner Clay. We recommend over and over, never gets old. It is a must try!
Stopped by and did some wine tasting. The Good:yummy reds, 2020 cab was outstanding. Blend was dry but full body. Service was welcoming and friendly. Tasting Room was huge inside and outside. The Not so Good:Wine Flights, you don't see the wine bottle, no info on wines provided, tasting a bit rushed, $25 per flight & waived tasting fee with 2 bottle purchase.

We were delighted by the good service we received by two wi e servers. Wine flights cost $25 for 4 wines. Servings are decent sized. and pair priced. Loved the Petit Verdot which has a long finish. The 2020 Zinfandel is jammy with nice approach and lovely finish! Facility is large with indoor and outdoor seating.
Went on a chilly, rainy day so we were inside. We had the red flight and the reserve flight. Service was good.
Loved the vibes of the place! We ordered two flights - Red Wine and Release. I enjoyed tasting them all!
Have been a member here for many years due to their great inexpensive wines. Tasting flights are good. Beautiful location and ambience inside. Plenty of place to sit. Also plenty of parking.
Beautiful winery and building. The wines we tasted were ok with the standout being the Zinfandel. Our group reservation was split into 2 separate areas which was slightly strange but they worked with us to get it rearranged. The charcuterie platter was delicious with multiple types of awesome cheese.
