Best JP restaurant in the area, no question. It is 100% authentic, as many people have mentioned.
I work for a Japanese company, and we have Japanese customers in the area, and we always go to Sato for business lunches when we're nearby.

I ordered house salad, which is supposed to be with sweet sauce, but sause was sour. Also, ordere d a Rainbow roll, which came with only two types of fish(salmon and pale pink fosh- maybe tuna? Didn’t taste like tuna) and carrot(carrot in rainbow roll?) it wasn’t good at all.

Love this family owned japanese restaurant, I have been coming here for 20 years and same family and excellent quality and flavor.

Vegetarian options: Tofu choces, veggie rolls and veg noodle soup, although maybe broth is not vegetarian

Parking: Beautiful outdoor mall style with park next door and tall redwood trees

I walked in find out it’s run by Japanese. & then 60% of the customers were Japanese speaking… how can you wrong. Like in Japan, focus is on quality vs quantity on the menus. I will be back.

The rice and rolls are delicious! The service staff are friendly, and the restaurant is clean and comfortable.

Over the years (30 +) the menu has slightly slightly. There are no longer space shuttle dining plates for the kids. But the food has been consistently good. Enjoy this quiet Japanese restaurant.

They are really good!!! Just wish they were slightly faster with orders. Otherwise, I would return anytime.
