What a cool spot! Exploring downtown Pleasanton for the first time, this was the best place on the street by a mile. They’ve got so many great import liquors that I hadn’t seen before at other spots. There was a lot of Italian foods and drinks as well as stuff from other countries. The second floor is a little wine bar that overlooks the store and had great vibes. It seemed like a great spot for locals to hang out. The owner was very friendly and gave us the time of day to learn about the stores history. Also we were lucky to be there when the local fungi master was visiting with his recent forage finds. Cool French dude!
Wonderful experience! Highly recommend.
Great selection and staff
Interesting
An oasis in the culinary wasteland that is Pleasanton.
Cute place, love the wine tasting upstairs! Try the wine flights. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.
Nice relaxed vibe, good wine
Excellent wine shop with an eclectic selection, friendly staff, and plenty of interesting finds even for people who are “into wine”. The wine clubs are a hell of a deal—we get two international bottles for <$50 per month. Their special event tastings are fantastic. A gem.
Great varieties and the upstairs loft has a good vibe.
The best wine store and tasting bar in the East Bay Area. Tremendous selection of the best wines from local vineyards and all over the world. Carefully curated and supported by knowledgeable staff. I always make time for a visit while in the area; you should too!

They do very little with local wines with almost 70 wineries in the Tri Valley they offer maybe 5 different wineries wines. Shame on them. Promote your backyard.
While browsing Main St, my son wanted to walk around and see this place. While we were still just browsing, seemed to have quite a selection of many things including cheeses and chocolates. Prices seemed to be fairly decent...might be worth checking out for those interested.
Great choices and decent prices!
WS is my go to spot for gift baskets for my clients. The staff is always very helpful, especially with my last minute drop in requests.
Arguably the best Wine store on the Bay Area. I might be a bit biased as I have been coming here since the day they opened, but I love the people who run it and who work the, they have an amazing selection of wine and a cute little wine bar upstairs where they can stop in for a flight or attend an event and learn about different wine regions or producers. What can I say… this place is my “Cheers”. Jim Denham and his staff are all wonderful and very knowledgeable.
