UlavacharU Indian Restaurant is a nice new addition to the Indian food scene in Pleasanton, living up to the standard of its other locations with consistently delicious, authentic, and warm fresh food. The restaurant offers top notch quality and a variety of excellent options in appetizers, breads, curries, and biryanis. Dishes like the cut mirchi appetizer, Gongura paneer biryani, Vijayawada paneer biryani, Charminar biryani, goat vindaloo, lassouni saag paneer, railway egg curry, Chicken Chettinad, and vankaya curry are highlighted as amazing, excellent, great, or the best. For catering, items like mysore bonda, onion pakora, paneer biryani, paneer curry, naan, and gajar halwa are loved. The garlic naan is easily one of the best in the east bay. While the sambar was average and the raita tasted like sour cream, the biryanis and salan tasted great. Seating is good and service is warm, welcoming, courteous, and not delayed, with great customer service that listens to feedback. It is highly recommended as the number one choice for Indian food in the Bay Area, with hopes for a future buffet.
